Description
Artemis, with her hunting dogs and the Golden Hind.The peregrine falcon has just risen off her shoulder, perhaps they have sighted something of interest.
The birds in the tree are rock doves, the origin of our '
est' pigeons. They're included as a comment. I don't have time to write it though 
And I don't think I want to anyway. Make of it what you will

I honestly could have dragged this out for a few more months, but it was just selfishness on my part that it took so long.
I LOVED painting this. I hate finishing it. It was started about a year ago, and has been my boon companion through some stressful times. I need to start another boon companion I guess.

Artemis was the goddes often associated with the moon, Apollo was the sun. I think Silver is more fitting to the powerful Artemis, it lets her seem more the cold how she is often desribed (One of my favourite Goddesses, i love you for that

Artemis is really my favorite Greek Goddess! She's the older twin of Apollo, the god of music and prophecy. She's the protector of all wild animals (white stags were most sacred to her), was an eternal virgin, very overprotective of her mother Leto, and a goddess of the moon.

I love this! Artemis is my favorite mythological character, and it's a shame she's not as popular as she should be. Even if she's just a myth, she was still very powerful and inspirational through her myths.

That is exactly Artemis. A woman with a bow and arrow, accompanied by hunting dogs, and her sacred animal, the deer. That's awesome. Even a greek temple in the back!
The attention to detail in this peice is fantastic, and I am DEFINATELY going to be a watcher!

Of all the Greek Goddesses, Aretmis was always my favourite. Mostly because she was the only one who did not conform to the gender stereotypes of the time, unlike the other goddesses.
Surprised the greeks actually came up with a goddes like this actually.
