This was actually surprisingly hard to model. Well not so much hard, as time consuming. >.<
I may do another, more close up render, to show the detail. The lighting was actually a mistake. There 125 Pokeballs in this scene, and it ended up crashing C4D, which for some reason, de-linked the HDRI texture. Its a 3 second fix, but I tried a preview render, and I liked the dark look, so I left it like that.

haha 125 Pokeballs ? You don't need them that much when you are focusing on 1 Pokeball at the moment, behind them you need kinda 25 pokeballs.. and that's all.. but idk... However this looks really good with the DOF...

It wouldn't been that bad, but I dropped a cloner grid of 5x5x5, using mograph.
I had to put so many because they weren't manually placed, and without manually placing them, they would have been very sparse if I only dropped 25 or so. And each ball is 5-6 parts, all with hypernurbs, which I had to completely disable in the editor, for it to even calculate the animation. >.<
