The Model? o.o
I just made it and posted a render. I wasn't really planning to distribute the model.
Sorry, you need to be a little more specific with your statements.

Yes I Cloned the cube into an array of 26x36. Separated the clones into individual objects, deleted unnecessary ones, and colored all the ones remaining. The bottom left GREY cube on the tail is the original cube. Its actually not shiny or the exact color because if you apply a texture to the original, all the clones copy it. And if you turn it to invisible, all the clones follow. What I'm going to do next time is pull the original under the floor, and leave the colored clones on top.

alright haha, i figured thats how you did it, howd you work out how many cubes you needed to do and colour etc? i did some pixel art in Minecraft but id just get a pic and count the width and height pixels
do you have a different method?

Used Paint.Net. And turned grid lines on. Cropped it exactly to pichu, and zoomed till it covered 1/2 my screen. Then I used the "Choose Screen Color" option in cinema 4d to get all the colors exactly right. I wouldnt use photoshop for opening the pixel art. One for saving cpu usage, and second pdn is good for pixel art. >.<

Oah and, rendering uses 100% of your processor, anything else running affects it, trust me. Have photoshop and firefox open, and do a render, and look at the pixels per second. Then close them and re-render, its a good difference.

3DS max doesnt show pixels per second, but it does say how much long per frame

Dual 3.4Ghz with 8 Gig. About to buy the new AMD 6-Core 2.8 Ghz chip [link]
The 3.0 Ghz chip is exactly the same, except clocked faster. But if you plan to overclock, there's no reason not to go with the cheaper one, and just OC it. It can run about 4 Ghz per core with a good cooler according to the testing I've seen.
I can't wait to get it, and my motherboard supports it which is great. I bought my comp right when the hexa cores came out, and they were A LOT, but now they have gone down quite a bit.
