Kouga brings whole new meaning to the phrase "wolfish grin". He's just all kinds of tawny lovely, and he's more wonderful to Kagome than InuYasha ever was, right down the tiny little bouquet of flowers he gave her. I think if I wasn't all over InuYasha, Kouga could easily have caught me.
So I don't blame you at all for succumbing to his feral charms! XDXDXD

I think Koga may have a tiny bit of a possessive streak in him, but I can't help to love him best. He is just the right type of feral. And completely delicious with all the dark features and those blue eyes! Speaking of which, have you seen this guy: [link] [link] [link]
I don't know that the photography has any clue to Inuyasha, but this guy is Koga if I've ever seen anyone be, and the last image just screams Naraku.

Girl, you ain't never told a lie! Umid makes delicious look good. I can see exactly why he was ruckus causing. I agree completely that there should be more Umid. Lots and lots of more Umid. If I knew how to make a dA stamp, I for sure would. More Umid, I tell you, Russian Photo Guy!
I've seen this photographer more than once and has visited his other sites as well. He does really good work, and it's interesting. It's not all A-typical nudes.

Despite the fanon cliche. IY actually saves Kouga nine times in the manga. Sort of a damsel in distress. (He does wear a skirt) IY only attacks when Kouga touches Kagome and nearly always misses. Kouga never fights back in those encounters but evades. IY correctly points out that Kagome has never discouraged Kouga from touching her. Kouga only touches her when he thinks IY is around because he knows it bothers IY. I think IY's last speech to Kouga shows how he truly feels about him. He even let Kouga say goodbye to Kagome because he knew how they felt about each other.
Kouga is actually very understanding of IY's feeling for Kikyou
more than Kagome ever was. When Kagome was crying over IY at Mt. Harkureai Kouga actually allowed IY and Kagome some time together.

Skirt? My Scottish heritage bristles... It's closer to a kilt of the highlands. Since nary a one of them probably knows how to sew or stitch, wrapping a pelt makes sense. The armor bits were probably taken from dead soldiers, which is probably where the soldiers themselves got them....
You know...I NEVER thought about the fact that Kagome only resists Kouga the first time she met him. After that, she's considered one of the pack the Ginta and Hakakku, and she even responds when Kouga turns on the charm.... Makes me think she might not have fought him off if he'd tried to kiss her, at least not as hard as she has with IY.
Your comments mirror my own for the most part about how IY and Kouga treat each other. They are like brothers who constantly tease and needle each other, spoiling for a wrestling match.
The last paragraph really says it all. Kouga behaved far more like a brother than a rival, treating him with gruff affection.
And at Mt. Hakurei, he gave Kagome some personal space, but I think he did it to be magnanimous about the situation, thinking that she would see that he could be understanding when she was in pain.
All in all for all his faults, Kouga is a wonderful character that got the bum's rush at the end of the manga. He should have been allowed to participate in some small way in Naraku's demise. Or at least, he should have been allowed to watch.
The anime ending was just way to contrived for me. Ayame just seemed to concocted for the sole purpose of throwing a bone to Kouga. Instead, he should have met an elegant, strong lady wolf youkai who fight him and hold her own. As alpha female she needs to command respect.

Well, when he is introduced, he and his wolves have just killed an entire village full of people, all out of casual hunger whilst searching for the shikon shards. Not once is he called out on that HIDEOUS ACT OF MASS MURDER, not once does he even show remorse. Karma Houdini much?

That's true. You are right.
InuYasha at least feels remorse for the day his full youkai side killed Gatenmaru's men. (In the anime, he is prevented from killing them, but in the manga, he does kill them, even after they begged for their lives.)
Come to that, Kagura also is a loved/pitied figure, but she killed all of Kouga's clan mates, rather viciously, and then made dead puppets out of them.
Sesshomaru, too, has mowed down hundreds of human soldiers, good and bad. He doesn't even bat an eyelash at it.
Even little Jaken uses the staff to burn down a whole boatload of soldiers early in the series, and he revels in it.
Out of the main characters, only Shippo escapes being tagged as a murderer in that regard. Then there's Jinenji, who couldn't hurt even those who tortured him...

The difference in Inuyasha's case was, they were bandit dregs who raped and stole for a living.
Kagura is well loved... although her case too has milder circumstances. She was created to fight, and had not lived for very long- did she have the expereience to question whether what she did was wrong? Not to mention that her attackers were experienced fighters intent on killing her, making it more of a battlefield situation.
I'll make no excuses for Sesshomaru, though- other than that he kills only when provoked (which admittedly takes very little), unlike Kouga, who most certainly wasn't provoked by that peaceful little village.
My point is, Kouga is the only one in the series who has commited cold blooded murder, and was never held accountable for it. Everyone else gets called out on theirs.

Not necessarily, you are looking at Kouga as if he was a human. Sango said when Kouga was introduced that wolf demons are no different that the wolves they command. That would mean that they would look at humans as they do any other animal, prey. It is common for wolves to attack humans in the medieval/feudal era. They were easy prey, and it wasn't really murder since they ate the humans, they didn't slaughter them. After Kouga decided that he loves Kagome (Again, simple minded) his pack ceases to eat humans, or even kill them from what I have seen.

Let me remind you that the audience is human, and EVERYONE ELSE is called out on their actions. Kouga's introduction is fresh after mass murder, which he treats with casual indifference. It is annoying that he is not once called out on it.
