Description InuYasha would be a grumpy guy to live with if he chose to be. He's impatient, selfish, crabby, and insensitive to other's feelings. This was an attempt to draw him with his chin and mouth in his hand and his eyes glaring over that. I was going for a particular look, and I think I got pretty close.

Thanks! It took forever just to get it this far! I worked really hard to try to get the weight of his head in his hand properly. I could just see the pose so clearly in my head....

He does grumpy so well! XDXDXD

Thanks! It was surprisingly hard to do. The hardest part was trying to get the weight of his head onto his hand. I really wanted to get that. I think I could do a wee bit better, but all in all, I like it.

InuYasha makes such a great art model because his acting range is so wide and fun!

Thanks so much! I guess he's grumpy because Kagome made him take a bath again. Even dried blood can get really stinky. Even youkai blood. His hair does look kinda wet....

I like how he looks here. And the unfinished right side of the image and the few lines in the background - first you look at the detailed part and then the sketchy parts.
His hair looks pretty! But it makes me think that he has hair that doesn't tangle XD (maybe youkai's hair doesn't tangle like human hair?)

I've come to that conclusion also. No matter how rough the fight, he and his brother always look so spiff....

I think of his hair as being a lot like that of a polar bear. Polar bear hair is not actually white. It's a translucent white that is semi-transparent. InuYasha's hair would be translucent, but also would reflect in a silvery, almost holographic way. As an unnatural being, there's a lot of leeway for speculation about this. I have some horse hair that's semi-white/translucent too. It's shimmery and very fine. Horse hair that's really white in color is actually coarser and thicker.

Therefore, I consider his hair to be a silvery translucent white. It's very fine and has no "cuticle" that would cause it to tangle. In fact, since he's a supernatural being, everything about him would behave in unnatural ways. We can be jealous of him for that part at least.....
