Really romantic illustration, just a little bit sad but there is a very intense message.
The wave of light that come in from the windows and obscure the outside world give at the illustration intensity and a sense of no place.
Probably the interior of the room is just a little bit poor of objects, this causes a loss of reality but, sure, is good at centre the attention of the viewer on the action of the image.
The surrealism of the sad girl that coming out from the canvas remember other illustrators, like Frans Mensink (on DeviantArt) for example, but it's not a problem.
Good work!

I definitely see the Hiyao Miyazaki's inspiration in this piece which I love... but what I really love about your "CREATION", is your stamp on this art work. Definitely Lriis style .

In this piece, the art room felt almost empty which I think reflects the artist feeling of emptiness while chaos of paper posted everywhere suggests struggles the artist is going through. I like the symbolism of the art work that comes to life, which is to comfort the artist and feel the emotions the artist is feeling... Often times artist create art work to express or reflect their inner thoughts and feelings. A part of artist self is embedded on that work and that creates a strong bond between the artist and its creation. So much that, when an artist distance him/herself, the art itself is pulling back the artist closer. This push and pull concept depicts the thriving force in this piece which is passion and love for art .
I also like the subdued colors, which added that nostalgia effect.
As well as the radiant light from the window creates that hopeful atmosphere ...like looking forward to brighter day... e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Over all, you did a great job.
Once again, I'm glad to have seen another of your amazing masterpiece.
Hope to see some more ... Good luck to you...e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="25" height="20" alt="" title="Hi!"/> e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="35" height="21" alt="" title="Here's a kiss for you, my love!"/>

This beautiful piece of artwork shows an artist's devotion and love to his work. How an artist feels how his creation 'comes to life' when he works on it. The colors blend so perfectly to create a lively scene. A very original and nice piece of artwork, I like it very much! You did a great job on it. It shows emotion from the artist and the artwork too! And the sun, the sun rays shine perfectly on tist and artwork, making the scene more lively. It's a very original, lively, beautiful and imaginative artwork! Great job! Keep up the good work!

I think what I saw when I first set eyes on this was the Greek myth of Pygmalion, where a man creates an ivory sculpture of his desire and he slowly falls in love with it. And that's a really depressing thought. That our desires often are pieces of ourselves that we cannot achieve and that, through our art, we can display just what these are. And this picture displays every emotions to encompass this. The pictures in the background of the couple, the small, empty room, the distraught look on the paintings face, the way the artist is pulling away. It's a realization that our work is our life, and yet there is a sense of reality that exists in us telling us that sometimes we cant have what we want.

The colors are amazing, the lighting is fantastic and the message it sends is one we all know, but you've found a way to make it your own.

Truly amazing! I love it!

No prob! This is just too amazing NOT to comment on! And yea, it's kinda a cool story, right? I studies Greek myths for a while... so it was easy to quickly make the comparison.

Cant wait to see more of your amazing work!

This is amazing. I love how shes coming out of the painting and holding him, as if trying to comfort him and tell him that shes okay, not to worry and to let her go. It makes me think of someone in greiving has painted a picture of his beloved and wishing it to come alive. It brings a tear to my eye. I like how there are pictures/notes all around the room, it adds to the fact that this man is obsessed with her, cant bare to be apart from her. Its truely touching and very true of what you feel when you lose/miss someone you love. I love the idea of it. Overall, touching and truely artistic. Well done!

This piece of artwork is very meaningful, in my opinion. At first, what caught my eye was just half a girl embracing a guy, but after I took a real good look at it, it hit me.
The vision is great, I have to give you that. Just the overall picture of this, from afar, would easily catch one's eye. The imagination of this artwork is soaring above the clouds, I think.
The originality of it is great too. Just ... from the looks of it, a guy wishing a girl, one whom he probably lost, to be back is obvious in the picture. Never have I seen anything like this.
The technique is also pretty good, though I think you still need a few improvements. Just a little bit. For example, maybe you should show the guy's face as well more clearly, etc.
The impact is beyond great. I can feel the emotions from the pair, and it's just beautiful, like many of Hayao-sensei's works, and very creative too. Overall, it's a great piece e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
But don't take my critique too harshly, it's just my opinion e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> It's still great.

wow, thank you so much for this critique!! i have to agree with you on the guy's face.. i was very hesitating whether or not to show the viewer what he's feeling.. i kind of put a mixed message here (but please don't think differently after you hear this) the guy in the piece is holding the girl in a way that's pushing her back into the canvas... but i won't say more than that. LOL thank you again for giving me your honest opinions.. it means so much to me and it has really made my day
