Description
This is the art study of Rikuo Nura in his nighttime Yokai form from an art reference of the anime series of the same name. It was really challenging yet fun to draw such a dynamic action pose of this rather formidable Yokai warrior who leads the Night Parade of the 100 Demons. I was using the same colors as in the digital artwork, and the light gray DID NOT LOOK GOOD AT ALL!! It was erased, and I used 4 colors that I use for coloring in dark hair, and clothing. This was pretty exciting, as well as interesting to learn how to draw a foreshortened left arm as Rikuo Nura in his nighttime Yokai form holds the bamboo wooden sheath in his right hand. I really enjoyed working on a fan art for such an awesome yet greatly under-appreciated manga series, "Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan" by Hiroshi Shiibashi for this new artwork!

I can't wait to see how both the traditional, and the digital artworks of the same line art will turn out. Please enjoy this new fan art!!
