I've been on a bit of an Assassin's Creed high lately which resulted in this picture.She's first shown towards then end of the first game when Altair let her go and then she basically 'co-stars' in Bloodlines...And lastly, both her and Altair make an appearance in the second game.
I like her though...Because she's not a Mary-sue like some of the female characters I've seen in some AC fanfiction.

What I really like about this are the color of her eyes and her hair color. It took me a moment to realize, "Whoa! It isn't black, it's brown!" I like how peaceful yet somewhat sneaky her eyes look: it portrays her personality very well.
Maybe Altair felt the same way about her hair color? XD

Beautiful. I remember when i saw the AC 2 scene with her and Altair and I was screaming my head off saying "I knew that was going to happen!! I knew it!" 'cause it only made sense that she was the only female that Altair encountered and the whole story from Bloodlines explained how they fell in love. Nice job!

Thanks! Yeah, towards the end of Bloodlines, it kind of hints that they may eventually get together. I love Desmond's reaction to the 'dream' though nothing tops his reaction at the end of the second game.
There was also Adha but she was long dead when the events of the first game happened. From what I heard she was the typical 'weak damsel in distress' character which is the opposite of Maria. Lol

You're right, Maria can defend herself. I can almost picture seeing Altair and Maria back-to-back against a hundred soldiers (sort of like that scene in the second Star Wars movie with Obi-wan and Anakin).
I also wrote a short story about what might have happened in between the end of Bloodlines and the scene from AC 2. I was actually very happy when I read that she turned away from the Templar order and became an Assassin herself, leading up to the birth of their two sons.

Do you have the story anywhere online? I'd like to read it sometime, this couple hasn't gotten enough love yet even though its 'canon'.
