Finally finished.
This was taken before putting him in the oven.

-Super Sculpey Polymer Clay,
-Wire armature
4-5 days work.

Thanks! I've been thinking about casting it, I just need to either remove the gold paint I had used on it, or re-paint it before I do anything with it.

Yes I used Super Sculpey! I love that clay.
Sadly I haven't written any details on how I made him, but I do have progress pictures.
It mainly took allot of patience... A heck of allot.

you have 100? that's an impressive collection.
Well....if you want any more to add to your collection... you should keep watching me! I plan on selling molds of this one and hopefully making it in different resins, limited editions done in glass-like plastic which will look like crystal and gold, jade-like plastic with gold etc.
AND I have many more Oriental inspired sculptures I will create soon, one of a kind sculptures with hopefully much more intricacy, not just dragons, I will make Chinese Fu Lion's and Dogs ( or stone lions, guardian lions), European dragons too, I have many plans coming. so keep watching, and if your interested in buying molds of Young fire Dragon, I can add you to the waiting list.

How much do you charge for most dragons is usd?

Well, I don't have a confirmed pricing list yet actually,
One off sculptures (one of a kind) would be around $300-$900 (New Zealand dollars) depending on the amount of hours put into them and the size of the sculpture, some will be fully painted and some may have stones or gems inlaid into the eyes etc,
Resin molds would be cheaper than one off sculptures since I would sell them in quantities, so they would be maybe around $60-$200 each depending on if they are painted,
These prices might sound like allot of money to some people, but you have to take into account the amount of hours it takes to get something like this sculpted, Oh, and I will take commissions for anyone who wants things like this too!

I'm just happy your interested, and I'm glad you like my Sculptures, I need to know if my sculptures interest people, I have plans to make some of my character designs into small scale models, they would be collectibles, elaborately made and made in a similar fashion as the Miniature Samurai dolls that are sold in Japan, these would be with Armour, weapons and thread's holding them together, not sure your interested in that type of thing, but I'm trying to get interest in them, the more interest I can find then it would mean there's a market for them, I'm not trying to get sales yet, just some interest from people.
