Description
"Can you hear me, Percy? I love you. I will always love you..."
Humanized version of Moonracer and Perceptor inspired by Ai Otsuka's Planetarium (lyrics in English ).
The background story is loosely based on this Transformers fanfiction, Penumbra.
(Read the comments here if you don't know what happened between these two previously.)
In the story, Perceptor erased his memeory after Moonracer left him. When Moonracer came back to Cybertron and wished to make it up with Perceptor, the scientist no longer recognized her. They were once so close, now she is only a stranger to him.
And here's what I planned for them after listening to that song I mentioned before.
At first Monracer tries to help Perceptor recover his memory, but Perceptor has changed so much during her absence and everything she does turns out to be futile. Every time she sees his face, it reminds her how much her harsh words hurt him the first time she left the scientist. Finally, Moonracer can't stand seeing her beloved scientist like that anymore, and she leaves Cybertron again for another mission.
Later, Moonracer's team is ambushed by the Decepticons. Many are killed or injured, and the remaining bots are trapped in a shabby outpost. Realizing she might not make it back to Cybertron this time, Moonracer calls Perceptor and confesses her feelings to him.
I already have at least three different endings planned for these two. A tragic ending, a bittersweet ending, and a typical happy ending. I may not have the time to draw all of them when I have to focus on my studies. So many things to do, so little time.
Oh, and we finally have a Percy/Moonie group on dA!

Oooh, this is very much how itβs gonna go in the story somewhere down the line. Whether she livesβ¦.wellβ¦..youβll have to wait, like everyone else!!!!! 
On to the actual review!!!
What do I say first? So many thingsβ¦.oh!
Moonracer first, hehe. Her expression is so bittersweet and heartbreaking. 
And I love 
For Perceptor: When I saw his expression, I nearly choked back a sob. It looks almost like heβs trying not to scream out, or cry. Heβs trying to hold his emotion back. His background reflects his mood so WELL; the dark blue fades for the shock thatβs clouding his psyche.
No, Percy, donβt restrain it!
What breaks my heart further (and has caught my attention the most) is the fact that heβs got the pentagonal targeting optic on. Amazing how one femme and her words can cause his supposedly unemotional mask to crack. I just know so many fans are gonna hate this, that their beloved SniPerceptor is not all dour and badass right now, but screw it, itβs love! 
I really adore their little communication devices.
It seems, to me anyway, that Moonracer begged to borrow someoneβs little walkie-talkie. Probably one of two remaining phones. Perceptor is probably traveling with the Wreckers now, where all of them have a little wireless earpiece, because any of them could die and we want to know their last words (and because they probably have the funds for it. Rich slaggers).
She manages to connect onto his wavelength, and we have this heartbreaking scene that no one will ever notice because bots are getting killed left and right.
THAT IS DEFINITELY HOW IT HAPPENED, IβM SURE. Another beautiful story idea, brought you to by my insanity and your mad skillz! *insert fun little commercial jingle*
I also love the contrast and common ground in their backgrounds. Moonracerβs is a light one, to represent the lift of that burden she had for so long, and the happiness that she feels for FINALLY having told him. Perceptorβs is a dark, cloudy one, to represent the truth that has settled on his shoulders, and the sorrow he may be feeling for realizing he may not be able to save her.
Both backgrounds, however, are softened a little. With love, and emotion, and silence and peace, something that the war and their own lives never seemed to allow. Their final moment of peace is here and now, for neither knows what will become of the other. This brings to mind a song. Best effect when listening while reading PercyxMoonie fanfiction: [link]

do you know what else I love about this pic? I love how she is using a cute little cell phone, and he has this funky earpiece that is 100% nerdy.
BTW, I hope to see the happy ending, for two reasons
1. I am a totally sap.
2. I can picture the sad ending and the bittersweet ending easily. These two, particularly in this story, are the very definition of star crossed lovers. I can't really see a happy ending, and would love to be surprised.

Actually the very first ending formed in my mind was the happy ending version. I just didn't draw much happy stuff related to these two that often so their story always seemed quite tragic in my artworks. Oh well, maybe I should draw something sweet and adorable for Percy and Moonie afterward... They deserve some happiness, really.

Well, I'm a sucker for weird, rare, unconditional parings and minor characters, so most of the stories I read and draw fanart for are about these crack pairings. Besides, it's more fun to make a rare pairing work. Gotta love the challenge.
