A piece of art at 's request.This is a picture of Ratchet's hologram and Rose Connelly, an original character in Rose's fanfiction The Day We Hailed the Heavens. I decided to draw a farewell scene of the two characters while doing the sketch, and here is the result. I still can't imagine Dr. Hatchet's gentle smile so his expression looks quite stern in this pic...

I'm so glad you love the pic. I wasn't very interested in TF/Human before, but your fanfics are just so awesome that I think your TF/OC pairing deserves a piece of fanart like this.
By the way, I just saw the story summary in Lala's latest fanart for TDWHTH, and I was so shocked to know the first charater death - I havene't read that chapter yet but I already felt sorry for the poor medic. Poor Ratch'... *sniff*

It always makes me happy to know that I've written the OCs in well enough for people to like them; it's always hard work introducing a new character, as people tend to be attached to the canons, but I think if you give the canons their due time as well, it's fine to introduce new ones. :]
Yeah... it was a pretty heartbreaking chapter to write, although the following chapter is turning out to be even sadder. *hugs Ratchet* However, as you pointed out on Lala's pic, Rose is in the sequel... so there will be a miracle of sorts ;] As for the other person who dies... well... :/

So true. Writing an OC well isn't easy because most people can't accept OC that quickly while reading fanfics. I didn't really like to read cannon/OC stories because many fanfics I found were those typical "Mary Sue" ones... Now I'm starting to try reading some cannon/OC fanfics if the OC isn't like such an annoying 'Sue.
Thank goodness Ratch' can have his lover back afterwards. He really needs someone to give him some warm love, seriously.
Well, I guess that miracles won't be miracles if everyone can be brought alive... Sometimes the death of character is inevitable, someone just have to die or the stoty would look like a childish fairy tale.

I don't like Mary Sue fictions, either. I can't stand it when the character isn't realistic... it doesn't seem real enough, so I can't read it. I'll certainly read TF/OC, as long as the OC isn't a 'Sue. The thing I hate most in fanfictions is people being written out of character, though... *cringes* Then I just can't read it.
I know! I love Ratchet so much... he should be way more popular than he is... I hope to improve his popularity a little with Deux Claret :]

Yeah, seeing characters with the totally wrong character is really painful, especially the character that author wrote is the one you love the most. I can't stand that kind of fiction, too.
Well, then I think you've successed. I have to admit that I didn't pay much attention to the medic until I read your fanfics - most of the fanfics I saw before are Ironhide/Ratchet fanfics, but I just prefer old 'Hide with his Chromia.
So someone else really has to die - I think it would be Carlos?

Yeah, I like Ironhide/Chromia. I like Ironhide and Ratchet as best friends - I think they're so funny when they're both grumbling together - but definitely not as a pairing.

Yeah, I prefer them to be good old friends, not lovers. Although I can accept TF yaoi pairings, the pairing Ironhide/Ratchet just seems kind of weird to me.
