Dedicated to the two greatest baba's in the KFP universe, Master Shifu and Mr. Ping! This is also a shout out to my own baba, Robert.This will be my second and final entry for the Father's Day contest over at...wait for it. BING:
I'm amazed that I was actually able to finish this one at all. If anyone reading this happened by my profile page in the past few days, my main computer suffered a total meltdown, deleting this guy and a whole bunch of other stuff. Thankfully I still had the original hand-drawn lineart and just took it from there. I don't like this one as much as the original, but I was rushed (in my own defense).
I'm still honing my own style in terms of drawing these characters, but I think Tigress' appearance is probably the most drastic change out of all of them. I wanted her to appear more feminine, for one thing, and more cat-like. Hopefully that was a job well done. Po and Tigress' clothing actually were inspired by the KFP art book, just in case anyone is wondering.
But yes. They're noodle folk. Broth runs deep through their veins. And so it goes.

wow cool pic it's really neat and inspiring but just as a bit of suggestive questioning i've got to know why mr. ping's color pattern is blue/white i thought it was gray/white but other than that even if u did rush it a little the picture looks pretty darn good.

Wow.. now that's really a lot of effort was put into this drawing. Po was looking cheerful and friendly. Tigress is definitely a well done since you said about making her more feminine and cat-like. Definitely well done. Shifu got a lot of details on his fur and all. Overall he simply looked great. And the aprons??

Aww.. this is so cute and nice. It kinda reminds me of my grandparents when they were noodle folks. Yeah, my grandparents used to sell noodles for about five years, and still selling now.
Though, I don't exactly see myself being a noodle cook since I can barely cook much of a noodle.
REally nice handdrawn piece here and it even shows how good you are with your handdrawn art. Though the BG, where did you get that from? Or you drew that too?

The background was a photo I took a number of years ago while on a visit to Chinatown Chicago -- of course, it was heavily manipulated and redone...so I partially drew it/ snapped the photo.
