UM. My ShinXChange picture! This be Melody, who I murdered my artist license all over! |D But I like this picture, despite Melody looking more like a western dragon than an eastern one.

Ha! Someone FINALLY listened when I said Melody's feathers are more ribbon-like than hair-like, hooray!
I really can't comment on the artistic license stuff, because, you know, I kinda didn't get everything correct on your character either when I got you two months ago *coughcoughGOLDKAIZcough*
But now I feel kinda guilty for not putting in a background on that piece now...
Anyway, excellent job, especially on the background!
The one thing that looks really weird, though, is that the direction of the wind seems inconsistent from the way the feathers on her limbs blow forward but the feathers on her head blow backward. You may want to pay attention to that kind of thing in the future.

Well, you were describing them as feathers and it wouldn't make sense to draw them fur-like. XD
Ha ha, I don't mind Kaiz being gold. It's hard to color most of my dragons traditionally anyway. <_< And I really didn't mind the lack of a background either. X3 I dunno, it was my first XChange and it was just really awesome to get such a nice drawing with a good interpretation of my character.
Huh, yeah, I really dunno what happened with the wind direction. XD I was consistent for a while then I suddenly went, LET'S DRAW IT ALL FLOWY and it suddenly went in every direction. Maybe they're maaaaagical feathers. 8D
*will learn to be consistent. Someday.*

I think this might be one of my most favorite of ur deviations. The feet and tail plume are very well done especially
as for critique, you might want to define the stomach muscles a bit more

Actually, I was going define them, but I changed my mind after I checked the ref, since the original artist depicted her very serpentine. I didn't want to make the anatomy look even less like what the original artist showed. xD
Hm. For the drawing part, I just drew the basic shape, then I defined the rocks in a random fashion. A rock here, a rock there. A rock this shape, a rock that shape.
As for painting, it's a special technique I discovered on my own. I put down a boring brown, then I select a lightish warm grey and scribble over it randomly. Then I do the with a darkish cool grey.
Then, with a lightish warm grey, I take my smudge tool, set it to "Finger Painting" and use one of Photoshop's default brushes, a size 36 brush just under the leaf brushes (there are 2 36 brushes, use the second one). It's a small brush, but that's what you want. Just sort of tap the tablet and smudge a little here and a little there. You don't want to smudge it to death because that'll kill your texture. Then paint some shading in, then smudge that in, and there you go! Rocks, Khezix style. B)

This is gorgeous! The sky and these small bird are cool. The pose is nice as well. The structure on the stones where Melody stands on have an interesting structure did you made it by yourself?
