From what I've learned in books, a maiko only wears the tails of the darari obi to the floor in the first month of her maiko career. After that, it's to her knees. So, she's actually quite accurate. I'm not sure if you've learned this since then, but I thought I might as well tell you.

do you own all of these kimono? they're all absolutely gorgeous. i've made kimono but they're nothing like a maiko's.

Archery , your retarded. thats a very beautifull and probably very expensive kakeshita. Its the kimono used in japanese weddings underneath the uchikake. the obi is a absolutely amazing maiko obi, you need to know what your talking about before you open your mouth.

is this nesessary? this is NOT a yukata, obviously because yukata are made of cotton, have shorter sleeves and do not have patterns like this. anyway, yukata are kimonos, and this is definitly a kimono. please, do some research and dont go around insulting other people's hard work!
