Description Ok, there was gonna be 14 of these, but I don't wanna be too... repetitious so I'm cutting it down to 7. ^^;

Dia came over to my house. We played dress up and I took her out front to take pictures. It wasn't a serious photoshoot... but I was proud of the job I did dressing her. Wearing kimono is hard, dressing people in it is harder.

Kimono to me is an art in so many ways. The garment itself is a masterpiece, and each one is totally unique. Wearing it is another art form... the kimono itself, and then the obi as well... I do a lot of work with Kimono theme, but these are just some photos I took of Dia when she was last at my house.

This one is a Shinto Style wedding kimono... which is why it looks a bit bulky. It's made with faux 'layers' to look like the old Heian Era Juni Hitoe (12 Layered) Kimono outfits... You're not actually supposed to tie over wedding kimono, its supposed to drape over another kimono like a robe. But... I paid for the stuff, I'll do what I want with it

Here she's just standing there, looking pretty. ^^

Lovely picture! I was wondering if maybe you could help me out with some questions I have regarding a kimono I was given.

kimono are lovely, but i can understand why she looks slightly grumpy. obis are attractive, but they crush your ribs. (Or they do the way mine were tied X_X) Poor Dia-san. But great job dressing her - you must be pretty strong to handle all that fabric.
