Description Clown monkeys, or more recently known as Mr. Mimes, are a shy but fascinating race. They live in deep forested areas and have no natural predators. They have a natural curiousity towards humans, and when humans started living near their habitats they became enthralled with human culture and the way we use tools, etc. Mr. Mime are known to have psychic abilities, one of which which allows them to control the air around them, bringing the molecules together and holding them in a psycic grip in whatever shape or density they wish; in essence, Mr. Mimes make invisible items. They can make these items quickly and adeptly and have even been seen swinging through the trees on invisible branches. Mr. Mime has copied many of the concepts and actions of human culture; they will walk upright. Comedia del arte originally derived their first practices from the Mr mimes and made up the physical theatre called 'mime' named respectfully after the animal. Mr. Mimes enjoy psychically forming musical instruments and can be heard making beautiful music deep in the forest from their 'mimed' wind pipes etc. Scientists have given a great deal of thought as to their strange, almost comical appearance. They concluded that it is a way for them to easily identify each other within family groups and see if an intruder has entered their territory. With no natural predators they have no need for camuflage. 'Mr.' is a strange add-on to the mimes as they do have males and females within a family group. Essentially Mimes have close to no vocal chords and communicatee through telepathy and small whistles. They have strange feet which curl up when on the groud, looking symilar to clown shoes, but when in the trees they provide a strong grip, as Mimes like to run through the trees on two legs, only using hands when needed.

Never thought of Mime as a monkey, but it really makes sense!

Thank you, Its one of the hardest Pokemon to make realistic as it has absolutely not natural base to work from, same for Jynx (though I love what I eventually went for). Ditto was even easier than mime n thats just a puddle of goo lol

Carnie-Vorex In reply to JoshuaDunlop [2013-10-10 22:01:25 +0000 UTC]

Ditto is basically a giant amoeba, feel free to add organoids XD I'm not sure I've seen your Jynx, though. You sure know biology!

Funny thing is i didnt even study biology, it was just interested in it in general and picked a few things up from animal channels

...Well, that's a shock. I thought Mr. Mime was some kind of clown-looking freak show. Never thought about monkeys.
Still, pretty unique and interesting concept.

We found deep in the jungle a special plant that gives a strange scent and eating or smelling it for quite a while it gives wild hallucinations...yet Psychic pokemon love smelling it since it increases their psychic subconscious so we`ve decided make a special incense with it that increases the smell and the already-wild hallucinations (we added some other plants to nullify the hallucinations) but the good thing is that it increases the psychic subconcious on all the pokemon (unlike the plant itself that only increases on psychic pokemon). another weird thing is that on mr mimes it acts like a viagra that changes the genes on the ovary and sperm of the mr mimes making a new specie of pokemon called mime jr. upon growing mime jr.`s genes turn back intos mr mimes species again. We will further study to see if we can create a whole new specie without the help of the "hidden gene" or with fully artificial dna.

Weird. But decently well done. I'd like to see one walking.

I wonder what those furry, bulgy patches on its shoulders and the base of its legs are for.

I like how you actually gave it feet.

thankyou. I think the fur would be for display and dominance, the longer and darker shows higher status?

VERY good explanation as to why they live in thick rainforests and such. Doesn't explain strong the invisible walls they can make truly are.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JoshuaDunlop In reply to Ud-the-Imp [2009-04-10 16:13:31 +0000 UTC]

Well i think they would only be able to do them for a limited time, it would be hard to test their true strength, but they must be able to withstand large amount of pressure, especially if their battling large pokemon.
