Brings a whole new meaning to the term "sculpting in the dark".

That'd be a great idea for a competition... sculpting blindfolded. Have a bunch of people lined up with a block of clay in front of them, have their eyes covered and just let them push the clay around and see what comes out

It would be the quickest trip to A&E ever, I'd end up putting the scalpel through my hand.

Thank you! It was fun to do something in sculpey for a change. Felt nice to just push the clay about.

Gah! I'd hate to run into that in a dark alley! Or even a well lit one!

Great work, I'd like to see it slightly painted, just a few touches.

Haha, thanks very much!

Hmm, hadn't thought of painting it since it's so rough. Be intrigued to try it out it though to see what it looks like. Would be fun to play about with some colour and keep it all very loose. Might have to give that a bash.

Thanks again!

Thank you! It was fun sculpting that way but hurts the ol' eyes after a while. Could've done with a few more torches, lol.

I can understand that. I certainly wouldn't try to cut paper in low light. I like my fingers too much.

Actually that just reminds me I had some links for you, Iain McCaig links that is...

His bitchin' book [link]
And his website and blog, both of which don't have any work on them yet , but keep an eye on 'em anyway... [link] [link]

Definitely check out that book though if you can. I think you'll dig it

I want to take part but I'm not going to manage to get anything done in time sorry to say Was looking forward to it too... I'm still gonna sculpt a goblin though when I get round to it

Thanks for the comments about this ugly spud! It was a bit of a larf to work on and certainly made for a nice change... Might have to do more quick clay doodles, they're rather good fun
