Itβs all to do with the angle of the bird relative to the sun and luck. My strategy is to hang around my humming bird feeder and watch until the birds start to ignore me. In the process I position the βflowerβ (I remove or block all but one of the feeding stations) on the feeder such that the angle is right for seeing the coloring on the neck. Then with luck I might get the shot that Iβm looking for.
