Hummers are cute little creatures.
The formula for getting good hummingbird pictures is to shoot lots of frames in bright light at a high shutter speed.
The full brilliance of their plumage is only visible at certain angles relative to the light source. Itβs also helpful if you let them get to know you.

I sat near a feeder that I had placed and after a while the hummers acted as though they were not even aware of me.
The camera was set on aperture priority at F/9, ISO 1600 with the shutter set on burst. This picture happened to be shot at 1/2000.
