For ~Animal-Angels . She wanted me to draw her kitty Shadow and suggested I use this reference: [link]I spent ages on the fur, doing several layers and drawing in loads of individual hairs. Unfortunately, for the cream part, I couldn't get the scanner to show it. I re-scanned it several times with different settings but I just can't get it to show
It's coming up looking like scribbles! It doesn't look like that in the original Originally I wasn't going to do a background, then I decided that I don't do enough backgrounds and I should add one in!

I love Siamese, I have one, She had three cute Kittens, She was abandon by her owners, and we found her and took her in, But a few days later, She had her kittens, our three tom cats helped her take care of them, Of course, My 6 year old black cat didn't like the kittens bugging him, but he soon warmed up to them

It doesn't look like scribbles on the fur at all! The little cat looks very well drawn and colored, I dont see what you're worried about (because it looks amazing!)
A friend of mine has a cat like that too, her cat's name is "Lorenzo"

Aww thank you. I was genuinely worried about the cream part but a couple of people have said it looks really good so maybe I was hyper-focussing on the flaws

Another lovely animal portrait done by the ever talented Itti! I just love how peaceful this is. I can imagine coming home and seeing my own cat curled up like this on my bed. It's a common thing but very comforting at the same time. Shadow looks so content snuggled up like that. I think my favorite thing about his pose is that little foot sticking out the way it does. So adorable!
You really are getting very good at using color pencils! I can tell you put lots of care and practice into your coloring and it really is looking fantastic! I love the detail in the fur. It looks good from my end, so I can only imagine how lovely it looks in person! I definitely know how frustrating it can be to have put in a lot of effort and then the scanner washes it out, but never fear! It still looks lovely!
I also like how simple the background is. It gives the picture the perfect finishing touch while still allowing Shadow to be the main focus of the picture.
