A while back, ~the-carolyn-michelle and 3 friends were offering this postcard swap for some postcards that they made with random captions. At first I was going to send some from my stock but then I decided to make some.Since I didn't have anything else to go on, the quotes are all based around writing letters or sending snail mail somehow. Those four deviants got the originals but I liked the cards so much I got some prints made for myself to send to people.

I read a book recently which talked about actual snail mail - mail sent by snails! It was very slow indeed. It was done by putting devices on the snails and sending the mail like e-mail but the snail had to walk past a receiver for the message to be picked up and sent. They had a backlog of over a thousand messages, I think, that would take years to get through at the rate they were going.

Even slower if you literally put a letter on a snail and waited for it to get to the other side of the country!

P&P is 50p UK/90p Europe/£1.20 worldwide. (£1.20 ≈ $1.85)
