The wait is over! xD I would have had it up a couple days ago but my art teacher mysteriously "lost" it. The news just about killed me, lol. But that's all cool now
Alrighty, so its Marcus Fenix from the killer Xbox 360 game Gears of War. I did this for my final art exam last year. I kinda had to rush the shading, hehe, but that was my fault, oh well. Not too happy with the scanner, lol. It like makes all the pencil lines stick out like a sore thumb >.> It looks much better on paper xP
Aaand, yeah, it took maybe 10 hours total, cause I was working pretty slow and I couldn't get the face to look right for the life of me xD Used the GOW box art as a reference. Done freehand and in specialized graphite pencils. Enjoy

Dude, same here. Mine hated me, I swear. I'd do the best job in the class, taking my time and everything and still get like a B-. Other kids just slapped stuff down, even if it looked like crap and got A's all across the board >.> The only reason I passed is cause I brought in so much "extra credit" work (stuff that I'd drawn ages ago, lol)
Never took another art class after that

Shading looks good to me, different levels and all. I know what you mean though, armor's all easy, but anything with a face on it is tough as nails to get right. >_< Only thing I can say that might of helped the expression more would be make the eyes thinner, more angry. He's not quite pissed off enough to be Fenix 100% spot on
But still awesometacular anyways despite that!

Ya, I was NEVER able to do faces on anything xD That fact alone almost caused me to do a pic of Carmine but he didn't have too many good pics, lol.
Uhhh...She only made suggestions on the face as I thought she would. Other than that she said nothing. At all, lmao. She never liked talking about my stuff after she picked her new favorite student. Kinda just brushed me aside xD

I'm not on the good side of the force though. I never have. But I've never been on the dark side either. I'm in between. Dunno what they're called. I've heard them called shadow jedi, neutral jedi, Uber Jedi. Dunno.
If you can't draw some parts, I can always help. Though, because our styles are very different, it would look really weird, I think, for us to just draw our character, you know?
I really think it would be cool if we were in some kind of battle stance or lurking or something. Dunno. What do you have in mind?
