Description Well well well Ben, you haven't updated your page in eons, shame on you. Guess this little sketch will have to do for the time being though, nothing we can do about it.

Anyway, the "official" name for this new armor is Semi-Powered Infiltration Armor or SPI. Its the new getup for the Spartan III's (which I'm cool with now ). Sports a active camo package that makes them almost completely invisible to the naked eye, but lacks pretty much everything else. Poor armor itself and either extremely crappy shields or no shields at all, tsk tsk. MJOLNIR armor is way teh hell better and always will be. Anyway, enough fanboy geek rant.

Done with some more professional type of pencils, no usual mechanical pencil on this bad boy. I kinda like how the darkening effects of these new things turned out... on paper that is. The scanner blew the hell out of the black areas that looked so nice and neat when it was sitting on my table :S oh well, you got the basics.

Took me about 2 1/2 hours total. And for people that live under rocks (aka, people that haven't read Ghosts of Onyx yet xD) I used the cover picture for a reference. Hehe, meh favorite artist of all time painted it too, rock on Lorraine!

I believe some Headhunters had energy shields on their SPI's, but on the expense of the Active Camo. Also, not nearly as strong as their MJOLNIR brothers

This armor is the Mjolnir's equal, as described in detail in Ghosts of Onyx; they serve two separate purposes and are superior in their own fields. SPI Armor, btw, actually has thicker ballistics plating than MJ0LNIR Armor to compensate for its lack of shielding.

Well, that's cute. I hope you feel warm and fuzzy for showing me the light.

It's true; SPI Armor can take a lot more damage than MJOLNIR Armor can. The MK.III can anyway, but that armor's only worn by one Spartan, Kurt, who trained the Spartan-III's.

MJOLNIR Armor has thick plating, but once its shields are taken down Covenant weapons tear through it like paper; unlike the older, unshielded models it's designed with the reliance on shielding in mind. SPI Armor, on the contrary, is designed for speed and agility, with its muscle augmentation secondary to its purpose. In Halo the II's and III's have only fought once, and it was because the Spartan-II thought the Spartan-III was a camoflauged Elite. The only reason the Spartan-II won was because she had more experience, and even then it was close.

I have to say out of all other Spartans, S3's are my favorite. Sure their armor lacks in shields and armor, but the average MJIOLNR (any mark) armor costs about as much as a cruiser, and only to armor one single unit. Sure, the unit is powerful, but I'll take the S3s with their superior training and implants/mods (S3s were fitted with far more enhanced genetic modifications and they were trained harder to compensate the lack of armor)

*cough* yeah, Love the pic, faved, I'm not a Halo-verse fan (truth be told, I hate it) but the S3's make it much more bearable for me.

Yeah, those are pretty much my thoughts on them nowdays. Back when they first came out I was in denial, haha.

Well, for not being a Halo fan you sure know your stuff, lol. S'cool. And thanks, man

I have really good memory for trivial things. I just own the Ghosts of Onyx book plus Halo 2 (I don't really wanna talk about it, but I pop in every now and then for the multiplayer)

Very nice drawing, I wish I could match that kind of standard, another way SPI is better than Mjolnir - So much cheaper!

Sorry dude, this is SPI armor. If you've ever read or even SEEN the Ghosts of Onyx book, you'd know. Besides, this was drawn months before we'd ever even heard of different armor types in Halo 3.

It resembles it, but its far from E.V.A.

no prob it's absolutely amazing how you where able to draw the picture so accurately.
Wait wait I think I see a little mis drawing, under the right shoulder pad there is suppose to be a second layer underneath and then the shoulder-strap thingy, but that's oke I have seen worse mistakes(alto yours is so small and unnoticeable I don't think anybody would see it) and let me tell you it was so weird to see the spi armor in, bulky form, weird form, gauntlet never accurate.

must fav yours ^^

Speaking as a dweller of rocks, and being the first time I've saw this...

Thats really cool, helmet particularly. Everyone loves sneaky sneaky though right? They have their whole own brand of awesome, as if to say, "I don't need armour because I'm not going to let you shoot me. So, hah, to you!". Of course MJOLNIR rocks just the same. Its name comes from a certain gods hammer I belive.

Heh, the gun looks like a chunky Famas.

Lol, sorry about that xD Just messin with people

Haha, yup, these guys are essentially Spartan ninjas. It took a while, but I've come to terms with the differences between the two, lol.

You know, now that you mention it...it does cool

And thanks for the comment Always appreciated

nice draw,,, im a huuuuge halo fan lol, They should have amade more of the spartan IIs because if only one could do soooo much destruction. then about 12 more could finish the job, i mean i do understand that they might need alot more, but Along with that, they should have made a last batch of IIs. it took some getting use to for the IIIs. im kinda cool with them, but MJOLNIRS kick ass, and btw howdo u pronounce MJOLNIR?
