I swear I'm hating this one. Kind of liked it before scanning but then...AAAARGH. Hate scanners. Hate hate hate. HATE. Lets burn them ALLL. B<Then, why are you submitting?, you ask. Because I'm an idiot who loves submitting stuff only to delete it 2 hours later. haa!
Either way, scanner rage aside, this was supposed to be one of *treeworshipper 's characters, whose name I...don't know orz. Sorry~ I didn't know his colors either, so ended up going crazy - I know it looks like I was high or so. But,as usual, no sober color picking here. It's my karma. Quite possibly.
So, Treeesssiiieee!❤ I'm not really "hoping you like it" because... it obviously sucks, but just wanted to let you know that I've triiiiiied /sobsob. I'm so sorry.

I love unattached limbs, they're so visually pleasing sometimes. the movement is especially nice with this sort of organic, nature focused theme where it looks like water is cascading over the persons body with the flowers and wildlife growing through them. The soft colours provide a nice sense of harmony and well being, along with the curvy lines making for a really nice harmonious image

i really love this style, where everything looks like it's melting... it's.. interesting..
and forget sober colors! no way, rainbows barfing everywhere is definitely more fun than sobriety.. XD
ahh anyway, i really love the combination of organic shapes in this.. as I said before, looks like everything's melting? :3 it's a nice effect. it's like this picture is just BEGGING to be stared at, glanced at again and again.. @w@..
this image just screams organic.. from the colors to the shapes to the little flower in the middle... sure you used lots of colors, but none of them are deafeningly, awfully, blatantly bright. they're calm... not artificial.. lol there I go again, reading too deep into the image.. ah well.
in all honesty I can't think of much to make this image better... I think that if some of the colors weren't quite so smudged, it would look bolder and more "speak for itself" kind of a drawing... rather than "oops I smudged too much here" maybe that wasn't your intention but it looks like it could be sharper/bolder in some places (to the left of the flower, for example)
I think, also, maybe you could put more focus on the character's face through use of more contrast or something.. like if you used a darker color to outline his hair?(though I like the soft look right now) because at first glance, my eyes wander elsewhere and the focal point isnt necessarily the character. that's fine if that was your intention though :3

Nooo, you're right, it does look super smudged, specially the colors - The scan was awful, and then I messed up with photoshop ;__; Though I do tend to "overwork" most of what I do - my teachers keep telling me that as well 
The hanging thing was supposed to be a boot (since it was kind of a ..."key-element" of the character, but I really can't draw footwear.)

the face is smudged? I didn't notice at all..
a boot? OOOHH I see it now.. XD alright! it'd be better if the smog/sludge/smoke/swirlies weren't covering most of it though.. bah, don't worry, I'm terrible with footwear as well. :l

It does, now that you mention it. It was never my intention though, I see no point in creating something similar to someone else's artwork, but sometimes pictures you see are so stuck in your head you don't even realize them anymore. I guess I'll have to work harder, and hopefully, someday, it won't look like anyone else's style.

Oh wow. Even if you say the scanner ruined it, I think this is absolutely gorgeous. The colors have a wonderfully beautiful subdued look, and I love the swirling flow of the abstract shapes. Dump this in scraps if you must, but please please don't delete it.

These colors are completely different from the ones in the original pic, because the original was a lot "colder", but no matter how hard I tried, couldn't keep them after scanning ;;
