Description Still in a nostalgic gaming mood...

Drew up Takizawa Miyu, the bridge bunny from the manga *inhales* "Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Space, To the End of A Flash".

She turns up in numerous Gundam-related games as a selectable bridge-bunny-mission-giver NPC, and one who's design I really quite like~

I think it's the short hair?

Different official artworks show her with different coloured eyes. Chose purple because it looks striking.

On a side note, Bandai Namco suxxors.

*activating rant*

Every year, they release the SAME PSP Gundam game, release a flashy trailer with a bunch of buzzwords calling the game "all-new" and "evolved", when all they did was add 20-30 new mobile suits and add little else.

Same gameplay, same levels, same music, same animations, same price.

And Gundam suckers like me, have no choice but to throw their money at Bamco for our regular Gundam fix!

Bamco suxxors.

I like Gundam, though.

It's great for me though, cos I can just get creative and picky with her eye colours, instead of just using boring ol' brown~

At least EX VS on PS3 is a little prettier! Lovely artwork, btw.

Aww man, that's a REALLY tempting game! I have a few VS type games on the PSP, but the PS3 version is calling out to me~

But with the exchange rate as it is, it's gonna be hell on my wallet! And Bamco are just evil enough to have paid DLC! (500 Yen for Blue Destiny? Scandalous~)

EXVS is incredibly smooth to play compared to the older games, I have to say. And I'm not sure what you mean about the exchange rate... It's about as good as it's been for nearly 5 years now, I think last time it was better than this was when I was living in Japan. o.o

The DLC is kind of mean because they are all so tempting... Blue Destiny is excellent, but my surprise favourite is Arche Gundam from 00... It moves in a really crazy way so it really throws people off.

I remember a time when 1 GBP = 200 Yen, which was a GREAT time to be in Japan. It now fluctuates between 1 GBP = 140/120 Yen, which makes me yearn for older times...

But yeah, if I'm lucky enough to find a cheap/used copy of EXVS, I'll definitely check it out. But knowing Bamco, if I wait another year, there'll probably be a sequel with Gundam AGE units in ><

Yeah, when I was living out in Kyoto it hit about 235yen to the Sterling at one point! Which was fine when I was using my savings from the UK, but not so great when I had to take money back from Japan. >_>

There's a sequel to EXVS in the arcades already, earliest it will come out on PS3 is this New Years'. No AGE units though.

Yeah! The exchange rate back in dem days! Whenever I'm about to buy something, I'll always end up comparing the exchange rate from the past, and end up buying nothing...

Extreme VS. Full Boost?

I see that there's no AGE units listed...but knowing Bamco, they're probably saving it for DLC...

Actually, it's funny... my partner bought me the Encore reissue of the Transformer Fortress Maximus, but she'd had it on preorder since it was first announced. In the amount of time it had taken from announcement to launch, the expected price had gone down by about £50 due to the exchange rate shifting!

And the arcade version of the VS games is prone to the odd update whenever Bamco feels like it, so who can say? We weren't expecting the second run of DLC for EXVS on PS3 which hit this year/late last year, either. I suspect there'll be some AGE available for the console version of Full Boost eventually.

BandaiNamco is the same way with Ace Combat. It's almost always the same old airplane porn, and almost the same kind of story. But I still throw my money at it because I like airplanes.

I know! Same old gameplay (use sluggish planes until you unlock the F-22), with a "story" that tries to give an excuse as to why you're shooting missiles at planes, but gosh darnit, I still buy the games for the soundtrack!

"The Unsung War" is still my favourite gaming orchestral piece!

And Bamco should quit it with Ace Combat DLC! We're not paying extra for plane colours!

I know, right? Especially paint schemes from video games that were never released here, like "Idolmaster". (Though I'll admit, I did buy the Makoto Kikuchi Eurofighter Typhoon.)

Bamco clearly knows that Idolmaster fans are suckers for DLC [link]

DLC lists on the Japanese PSN makes fascinating browsing~
