H I S T O R Y

Before Webkit, there was Webpaw, a medicine cat apprentice of FoxClan... but she wasn't always a medicine cat. Before taking up a career in healing, Webpaw had trained as a warrior apprentice, determined to fight and hunt to serve her Clan. But disaster struck during a border patrol turned sour, a LeafClan warrior taking her ear, her tail, and leaving her with scars upon her back that made it impossible for her to move without a severe luck. Webpaw refused to become useless to her Clan, however, and instead became a medicine cat apprentice. Still, she remained a warrior at heart, constantly doubting her abilities and refusing to adhere to the rules of medicine cat life- her love of her fellow apprentice, Tuftpaw, being one of those rule-breaking sentiments. However, the tom was accidentally killed by his own mother when she attempted to kill his aunt instead, and while Webpaw tried her best she couldn't save him. Bronzestar, her best friend, named him Tuftpelt before he died. Discouraged by her love's death, Webpaw tried to leave the Clan entirely, but ended up staying when Bronzestar told her she was expecting Smokestar's kits. The medicine cat apprentice cared for her friend's kits with all her heart, especially young Spiderkit, whom she rescued from a fire that had been set upon FoxClan's camp. While the tom eventually left FoxClan to instead join FogClan, he rejoined her in the battle against Potatothroat when she was pinned by a rogue. Spiderpaw killed the rogue, Lark, but not before Lark delivered the killing blow.

Born to Barktail and Dustripple after FoxClan had been taken in by DireClan, Webkit was named both for her uncanny resemblance to the late medicine cat apprentice and the fact that Webpaw had helped Dustripple, quite literally, get back on his feet after his paw was taken by a fox. Right from the start, Webkit experienced strange dreams... they were so real they felt more like memories, but they were always about some medicine cat apprentice. Assuming that this is a normal experience, Webkit has yet to question her visions.

Brindlepaw's ears perked as she listened to the deputy's speech, her tail waving in excitement. This was going to be great! Everyone hunting and gathering... as she stood up and stretched, she couldn't help that her mentor would want to go hunting. She told herself that she would be fine with either task, but the thrill of the hunt just seemed so much more heroic! Still, though, she had only just met the tom, and therefore it was hard to read the stoic warrior most of the time. Whatever he chose, it would come as a surprise to Brindlepaw.
