Very well done. I've never been a fan of using charcoal myself, until recently where a course required all my pictures be charcoal. I have yet to get this skilled with the medium. Beautiful!

Yeah charcoal takes a little getting used to but is a very flexible medium. Historically, the first drawing was made with a burnt stick on a rock

Damn awesome, I especially like the fear on the horse's faces, and their frightened body language (i.e. ears turned back). If only all knights looked like this.

I didn't think about fear of the knight, just the fact that it's about to die.
I just had a reference photo of a knight to copy from.
