The allosaurus was originally a large carnivorous theropod dinosaur from the Late Jurassic Period. With the largest individuals possibly reaching lengths of 40 feet, they were among the top predators of their environment. They hunted a wide range of orey from small dryosaurs to the large sauropods on occasion. By the end of the Jurassic most species of allosaurus became extinct.

When Jurassic World was being built, a number of allosaurs were cloned for the park. These individuals were alot like their ancestors, though they have more leaner skulls that's more pronounced in younger individuals. The "base" skin color consists of a greyish blue body with tan or yellowish stripes and underbelly, though genes for different skin colors exist. They were kept in "Carnivore Corner", an area of the park where most of the carnivorous dinosaurs were kept.

When the Indominus Rex escaped captivity, its rampage scared the other dinosaurs from their enclosures. During the chaos Carnivore Corner was breach, releasing the carnivores including the allosaurus. For several years after the incident the allosaurs would roam free until the events of 2018. Around this time Nublar's dormant volcano "Mt. Sibo" was showing steadily increasing activity which result in a eruption that would kill every dinosaur on the island. With the assistance from Claire Dearing the Monster Island Task Force saved a number of the dinosaurs, including several allosaurus. Once secure the dinosaurs would be taken to Monster Island.

Once on site, the dinosaurs were subjected to an extended examination before being released into the wild. The allosaurs were introduced to the desert region of Monster island. This was done because of the existing dinosaurs there, namely the Allosaurus Gwangi. After they were dropped the park's allosaurus began intergrating with the Gwangi population with interbreeding between them as a result. In doing so the species is beginging to diversify with some indiduals becoming active either day or night to prey on different food items and some living exclusively in caves systems that extend through the mountain range that borders the desert. Regardless they are the top predators of the region, preying upon the local herbivores and would sometimes wander into the surrounding areas though they face intense competition with other the giant predators. Despite all that the future of this species looks promising, once a species that was to re-enter the jaws extinction now has a chance to prosper once more.
