Not quite. Applejack made it all the way through. We don't know the fate of Rainbow Dash. And Rarity gave her life to save Fluttershy...and there's no higher calling than that. Those little bits are what managed to keep me going. Kkat did a good job of mixing up the final fates.

Where did 'Β Applejack made it all the way through'? I think it's fair to say that in the original story at least short of ghoulification, Rainbow Dash is almost certainly dead and gone. I got the impression that Rarity saved Fluttershy regardless of whether she wanted to be saved or not. Then the poison joke and whatnot got her, so much for salvation. Fluttershy has the most to regret and the most to suffer at least internally/mentally. She would be well within reason to blame herself for the ultimate outcome.
They really weren't very good friends by the end and they were all alone.

Applejack got into stable 2, and because as Littlepip found out, Applejack couldn't get back to Steelhooves, or rather, Applesnack, because Sweetie Bell wouldn't let her because Applejack was pregnant. Applejack had worked on the orchard, until she was physically uncapable, so then she worked in the kitchen to cook for the stable until she died. She was buried under the orchard instead of being cremated.

Oh, good. Let's just put a damper on the catharsis of the original death. After all, don't we just hate it when stories make us feel?
Do you suppose I could legitimately change Fo:Eq's canon around to suit my whims if I were to write a long enough story? Perhaps it was unjust that Fluttershy became a tree? How about that whole ending sequence was just a dream Littlepip had, and the real Fluttershy was obliterated by an errant missile immediately after being teleported? Now let me just write a long as hell narrative, and then it is canon. For everyone.

Different Folks, Different Strokes. I like the idea that Pinkie Pie didn't burn to death. Have you ever seen someone burn to death? I have. A bullets a mercy.

HaveBKYourWay In reply to Sturmlion1 [2015-01-14 14:34:37 +0000 UTC]
So it may be. But wishing for something does not make it so. In Fallout: Equestria, Pinkie Pie is implied to have burned along with every other living thing in Manehattan. It was terrible. It was intended to be. In my opinion, a bullet adds nothing of value. It just complicates the narrative.

True, but also different stories and the Bullet was used to explain another character and there mental breakdown. Big enough toybox for people to play in I think for different interpretations.

not with the set cannon. People can do things for say. shining armor and cadence because they were never really mentioned in the book as far as I can tell.Β
while pinki. we see nothing in the cannon book about any kind of bullet holes.Β
besides for forgetting this is the magic equivalent of radiation. So its radio active fire coming her way. and with that much on its way. she would honstly die before the flames could lick her.Β
π: 2 β©: 1
Sturmlion1 In reply to nightengale1028 [2017-03-26 16:08:00 +0000 UTC]
Probably because she is bones. Yes, she wasn't even a ragged dressed corpse huddled in a office, just bones. And if the bones aren't hit or damaged than how someone died is up to interpertation. Like I said, big enough world for everyone to play in.Β
And obviously you don't understand radiation. Its the aftereffects of a nuclear event but it is primarily heat and fire damage with the radiation being whats left over. Even the nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki didn't kill everyone. Only in there very center and short range of the blast were the victims atomized. What happened to those slightly farther out was much much worse. Imagine third degree burns, and multiply it by twenty. Further out it was scarring. And all of them then suffered the radiation damage as there bodys fell apart and shut down and failed.
Please don't ask, I've seen the pictures. The bodys with the flesh burned off still walking by force of will towards the river where they fell and died. I have a very strong stomach but yes, this even made me sick to my stomach.

nightengale1028 In reply to Sturmlion1 [2017-03-26 19:59:52 +0000 UTC]
thats the thing though. she is close to the center. it defenity looks to be more than 50 feet but more than lets say in fallout terms. 2000 rads per second.Β
lets look at fallout vault 87 had a nuke dropped right on top of it. and 200 years later its still in the 5,000+ range. which no one can survive in. exculding supper mutaints and ghouls. but even then it can drive ghouls feral and suppermutaints more....insane.
these laws do not apply towards our reality. and when mixed with the two laws and realitys of an AU like FOE the radiation from a bomb made to take out a city of that size. with a whole government facility. its going to do more damage and bigger blast than a normal bailfire bomb.Β
Im not saying "you ruin the story with it." but when cannon and even just commen sense. as well as the story saying her bones were just there holding the statue. its hard to say.

Your still mistaking Radiation and Heat. Radiation is whats left over AFTER the bomb goes off. And like Fallout the Balefire Bombs were high energy but low density bombs leaving behind a crater and radiation. Best way to describe it in terms you may understand. A modern nuke or even one like Fatman or Littleboy dropped in DC would have leveled the city but in Fallout Universe one ground burst we do see left a magnificent crater of the White House but didn't destroy the surrounding buildings overmuch. In fact the buildings around the area still have there windows!Β
Most of DC was hit with airbursts though, dirty airbursts but we do see evidence of a few ground strikes. Vault 87, due to a lack of crater I think was hit with a airburst detonation but one that literally blew up maybe a few thousand feet overhead the vault. Explains the high radiation there as all the rest of the airburst were much higher overhead.

im going to say the bomb in the pic shown here is a ground burst. due to the fact we are just starting to see the bust from the tops of buildings.
Im not claming to know about nukes. but to say some one went in and shot her. would be pointless due to the sher fact of the matter of the fact that if anyone was in the city alive. no one would really care. and if she survived the inital blast. she could have died like diamond tiara. starvation dehydration. or even asphyxiation.
This is a goverment building she is in none the less so just one person with a gun couldent make it to the main room with out having to deal with securty turrets. destoryed hallways. surviving members who use it as a base of operations. Β

You didn't read Horizons did you? Pinkie was killed in that story with a sniper round fired from another building a few minutes before the bombs fell. Her last words were in it "Please, don't let me burn..." as she looked right out the window at the sniper. The building in Fallout Equestria was noted to still be standing and the windows were just blown out, I think the computer still even worked in her office.

In the original story they find Pinkies body in a corner of her office and except for a broken window it was relatively untouched though half of the building was collapsed. Her office was relatively untouched. She herself died by being incinerated.Β

Pinkie died from the balefire. I find itΒ ridiculous that somepony would walk into the building as the town was being bombed, just to shoot her. I hate it when people try to soften the tough life that is found in the fallout of Equestria. Pinkie Pie died horribly, with no hope and no friendship, but there's nothing you can do about it.

People follow orders. And her orders were to kill Pinkie. And she did so. And like I said earlier, I would prefer the bullet to burning. Burning to death is horrible.

Secret0Fun In reply to Sturmlion1 [2015-03-05 15:02:06 +0000 UTC]
:/ Littlepip would have seen a bullet hole. And, seriously? Again, anypony would die from entering the building because of the fact that it was ten seconds away from a balefire detonation.Β
I hate it when people write fanfictions and draw art that is 100% noncanon.Β
It's like someone drawing a Season 4 unicorn Twilight Sparkle.
It's not a thing. It doesn't exist. It didn't happen.
Pinkie Pie could have easily been snuck up on because of withdrawls, and been shot pointblank. Also, she would have done nothing about it if she did know, because she knew she would die no matter what. Pinkie Pie would have known what happened to Twilight if she had been on PTMs, but being sworn off it, didn't.Β
Your theory is completely possible, but doesn't make sense. Please tell me, who murdered Pinkie Pie anyway?

I'm sorry. Is Littlepip a forensic specialist? Would she know what a bullet wound on bones looks like? Or if it had hit soft issue and not bone? Eh, doesn't matter its all just a story. And I still say being shot is better than burning. I feel worse for Pinkie if she burned after what she went through.

Even if Pinkie knew that the bombs would fall, by that point there was nothing she could do about it. The war was in full swing, and there were already alot of terrible things happening at that time (reeducation prison camps, forced memory extractions, war, death, terror, loved ones lost). Equestria was already careening down a path to self-destruction, the balefire bombs were just the final blow.

Well, in our world, if there's one good thing about oligarchy, globalism and big corporations, it's that they won't allow for something as detrimental as nuclear war to happen. They have proxy wars and fear of "terrorism" to keep the masses' need for violence sated, so that we don't go overboard. If any sort of end of the world scenario is going to happen, it's going to be gradual (but Trump in the oval office is a wild card so we'll see!).
But really the FOE whole war scenario is very contrived, Celestia could have ended the war in 10 minutes by threatening to take away sunlight from the zebras, or even burning them if it came to it. Luna could have flooded their lands using the moon's control of the tides. The zebras would have been crushed in a real war.Β
The argument some might bring up is that Sombra was able to wage war against Equestria in the Cutie Remark, but his troops were reliant on shadow magic and probably didn't need sunlight or food. The zebras had only passive magic like potions and amulets, so they probably couldn't stand a direct loss of sunlight or massive flooding.

Sure, Kkat didn't explicitly walk us through the death scene. But that was unnecessary because it was obvious. Pinkie Pie died in the balefire. Occam's Razor dictates it must be so.
