My first ever original character that was created mainly for my own purposes and not as a self-insertion into an already existing manga/anime. She's supposed to be for a story that I had planned in my head for a while but due to severe creative-block (which spans even till today) the said story probably won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Not saying that it was going anywhere in the first place, knowing my laziness.... >_>

As for the wings, I tried to make it look a bit different than the usual wings that you've seen in other artworks. Not sure it worked, though. I always fail miserably at creating something totally original. I don't like the color of the wings but I don't have markers of a lighter shade. I've only just begun collecting markers, you see. XD

I'm not an expert at drawing wings at all, but... if you hadn't said that the character had wings, I wouldn't have guessed that those were wings. They look broken and painful and they bend how they shouldn't... ouch!

i don't believe you have failed at all in making an original character...i absolutely suck at drawign wings and your character's wings have taken my fancy, i love them...i only wish that i could create something that truly great. You should be proud

Traditional media is basically any method in creating art that's not done with computers - pencil, charcoal, markers, watercolour, etc. Digital art is artwork that's done digitally using computers/softwares - 3D art, CG, photomanipulation, etc.

The wings are the best part, they're berautiful, i think you've managed to do something different there definitely! And i think the dark colour suits them well, you still managed to get a range of colours in them, and given the rest of the pic is darkly coloured they fit well XD had the fav this, i just love it, especially the composition, you're very talented!

OOx okay so i didn't read the last part of you comment for some reason (sorry so sorry i just got up from a nap ) ne ways yeah i hate scanners...they always seem to screw things up for you huh? (they always put a dark spot on my days) and well... bout the char description, i think it's written plainly on her face what she's like ^^x which means you must obviously capture expressions and one's char really well. (i've always had problems with that....yeah....always....I SUCK ) but i really love the way you draw

Hahaha for the comic idea i know how you feel, i've tried over and over again with pointless out comes to make a complete one ... but alas, i'm lazy as well (the farthest i've ever gotten was fourty eight pages and it sucked big time too). It would have been better, i think, if the wings had been a lighter shade as well. As for the style of the wings i like them, they look whispy and whimsical (sp?? i suck at spelling). To me she looks like that sweet girl next door that is really good at things but doesn't like to admit it

This whole pic actually came out darker than the original after it's trip through the scanner. Bah!

no but honest to god it was really bad!! i threw it away...my friends seemed to like it though...it was bout these three girls who were transferred to another world to save the world from its disruptive goddess. I called it Uciru and ...well...now that i think about it it reminded me of Rayearth but back then i didn't know bout it oOx

But it's really hard to make something really original and likable out of this theme [maybe cuz the idea has be used a zillion times already by others]. To those who did manage the extraordinary feat, bless them.

That story I had in mind... the one with Hirari... also uses the same theme ---> accidentally ending up in another dimension/world. =^^=

oh well...my friend and i have come up with another story called "Sacred Swords" long story short (it's UBER long... ) it's bout six demons and humans coming together to unite the demon and human races. (i guess you could call that cliche as well... >< Five of them have swords and one of them has a ring. The pplz wit the swords are the main fighters who come up wit a ways to bring about peace, while the ring bearer keeps the group together (mainly, and to keep the five under control). There's a ton of side stories...and we hafta cut back some of them me thinks OOx but we came to deviant (stoopid AOL, deviant won't allow it so this one has to share... ) to post it.... nowz...if only Oblivion would. She wants me to draw it but i ono if i have the actual talent!! (my drawings are the only ones posted!! she refuses to do so... cuz she says she's the one who writes them but she's good too i UBERLY SUCK)

This looks absolutely mind-blowing o_o
but the detail on the wing has a real bad contrast with how plain
the rest of her is...
If you worked harder... say, on your background and clothing...
You'd be up there with the big boys, selling prints for sure.
You've got a crapload of untapped potetial.
I hope to see more of your stuff in the future.
This is still a fave, even though it could be better...
it's just that good ^_^
