"The Sisters Grimm: The Problem Child" by Michael BuckleyLittle Red Riding Hood has gone insane from the loss of her family. Now with her pet "kitty" (a Jabberwock), she stalks the Grimm family, looking to kidnap members to rebuild her own, so she can ""play house." Kinda creepy, no?
I've been spoiled by the excellent Fables comic book series, but The Sisters Grimm books are quickly finding a place in my heart, as well.

whoa jabberwo- thats not in the original story! hmm oh thats the whole point isnt it lol i know somebody who calls these fractured fairy tales. like they take them and do something odd to them. i have never read sisters grimm though.

I'd recommend them! They're a lot of fun, and often pretty clever when they re-work all of the old classic stories.

Creepy.... It's Brilliant! I love those books too and this fits Red Riding Hood perfectly. I really like the black/white shading I think it just adds to the...atmosphere of it. I would say keep it like this but it would be interesting to see it in color...or the red of Red's hood... Great job

I can't decide wether I like it better with the colors or without. There's a lot more detail here, which is really nice. But the shadows and colors in the other are so dramatic... Hmm.
I dunno, really. Anyways, I think this is awesome. You did such a great job at making Red creepy and fitting her Kitty (snicker) into the picture as well. And I love the raised little finger! Such a motion of elegance and innocence... it makes it all seem so much more sinister....

wow, that is awesome! did you use charcoal on this one? it looks awesome! i like how it's kind of in the style that peter ferguson, the illustrator of the sisters grimm series, does it! wow, that's all i can say, it's amazing!

It's actually digital because I'm dirt broke and can't get my house messy, but I was going for a charcoal style! And I LOVE the illustrations in the books, so thanks for that, too! I'm glad you like it!

I absolutely love this one, more so than the dog (even though that is really well done as well)... I think it's because I have a twisted mind and these things interest me more. It reminds me of Tim Burtons style of artwork.

Puck is freaking hilarious! Though I know a kid exactly like him, so that's kind of strange... I'm warming up to Sabrina, too. And I LOVE Canis and Uncle Jake!

I dont like Daphne anymore, in the 6th book. I know, shes growing up, but still, thats not her character.

I have indeed read the 7th book. And was crushed - then went back and read a couple again to see if there were any hints or anything...because I was SERIOUSLY crushed. It was out of NOWHERE! Though I kind of understand where he's coming from, he's still kind of...overboard. I liked that guy!

Still like the composition. The sketchyness. As the reigning queen of coloring everything I draw, I'd like to see color on this, but it's pretty good in black and white.
