Description finally found a third, so i'm making a tryptich
never thought about that while taking the photos.. though my eyes are often attracted to red when there's green around.
or to yellow when there's blue
etc
but here it's red. and green.
hohahihuhe

you know, i've been thinking about he b&w stuff, and how people are exclusively attracted to b&w shots. but sometimes colors bring different things to a photograph, i don't know. it's like.. b&w is to be used when an effect is desired, a mood, an emphasis on light, shadows, lines. color is used for other things, and for different moods. i don't think anyone should be more attracted to one or another. both have their charm and qualities.
ok, i'm boring myself

Beijing, Wan chan, Great Wall.
china, july 2005
scan of negatives, curves on ps.

Of course color and b&w both have their merits... color can be an excellent tool for creating unity. Just a thought, but maybe people are attracted to b&w images because it forces the viewer to see things differently than in their everyday life (because we see in color). Also, in photojournalism, it reminds us of newspapers and famous older images of that nature from back in the day... like the photojournalistic hayday that was Vietnam-era America, etc.

you talk alot
but I agree
Your the best colour-streetphotographer here (even thought you dont want to say "ah ok thanks")
But
I think this looks great and its a great idea putting them together
The mood is really wierd, but in a good way. The colours are lovely and harmonic as usual, and the branches and the details are lovely captured

ya know i dont usually care all that much for the multiple photos, but here it is really nice. i enjoy how the three are very soothing to me.. the colors, yes, all green with the little red detail. and i like how the three red people are almost lined up and get continually smaller. also the foggey atmosphere makes the three fit quite well together.

this part of the great wall is difficult to go to, and it's not the wall as we see it in movies etc. it's quite broken and all. and there's a great walk before arriving on the wall. the children were very courageous that day and during the whole trip in fact.
anyway

i can imagine, ive been twice to the wall, once with my family when i was 11 to the "popular one, full of tourist" and then otherone far away with a totally different style and structure, walked alot to get there, and it was only 12 ppl allowed each day, we got lucky...
anyways loving ur china work, it seems it will never end, and i love that
