This was 's request for getting pageview 30,000 and he was quite nice about waiting until I had gotten the calendar and other things done before I started it. Actually, I did the watercolor pencil work while I was up north, but I wanted to wait until I had my tablet back to paint
So at any rate, 'classic' Jean Grey of the X-Men.

It's a style I've been playing with. Like I said, I do a light wash with water over the watercolor pencil so it gets a bit of shadowing and a bit of that watercolor 'bleed', then paint with a wet edge brush at a low opacity, around 30% or so.
