Eh, what the heck. I'll do it anyway.

In IR photography the sky turns out black if there are no clouds (and depends on the exposure)

Well, I kinda got a lively fantasy and I guess thats why such a thing came to my mind when I saw the pic, but somehow I had to think that thisd be the end of the days. The tree looks like all left life poured out and left all alone the matter the corps was made of. Gaia vanished and the sky fadet to darkness. All what is left is a pale shadow of the former beauty and never shall there be anything similar again.

I used to write some time back, still getting pushes from time to time

That's not the original color of the sky. This is the color the IR gets after the channel swap (read more about Infra in my journal if you're interested)

Chadhefer In reply to gilad [2007-08-13 08:35:51 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for your reply.
I have read your Journal Entry on IR, many, many times. And it has taught me very much.
The only thing i am having trouble with is the channel swap. I have tried many times what you say we should do. And although im sure what you said is correct, i think i might be interpreting it incorrectly.
You say that one must first open red channel > reduce red and increase blue. Then switch to blue channel and increase red and descrease blue. Does this not cancel out each other?? When i do this i end up with the original picture?
Any thoughts about this or suggestions would really be amazing.

Sorry to bother you with such stupid stuff.

But yeah

Many thanks
