Yeah, I knuckled under and finally got a nice one. It was refurbished and all but I got it from Amazon where I got my Kodak easyshare, still it has a warranty on it so I'm good. I've been thrilled with the results when i get a chance to go out and use it...both my hubby's truck and my moms van are in the shop so I have the only working car in the family...that means a very short leash if ya get me...

Well I hope the leash loosens up soon, love to see more of what your shooting. I have a Rebel and I don't see why going with the D40 could get me better pictures. I love my camera and we have had good luck with all 4 of them. They just keep getting better ;) (Wink)

Oh so do I, it's a bit frustrating. If it isn't one thing it's another..someone is sick or the kid has to work or the gas is horrendous or a thousand other things...sigh..

I've been told that it isn't the camera, even point and shoots can take a good shot...it's the person behind the camera who thinks about how to compose the shot, whats in the background, how the lighting is, shadows...still I'm not gonna throw away my baby for a disposable, lol! Thanks for the encouragement...I hope to get out and about soon.
