mmm. i actually kinda like it. which is a novelty, as i often find anthro comic works lacking...not a value judgement on the style, just a general and unfair observation from my travels.

i don't really know the characters, but it's a nice flashback sequence that flows together seamlessly. art is clean and shiny (even if you skimped on backgrounds...grr...)...nice poses...yeah.

only thing i'd reccomend is that you had used a deeper stance for the kick...the main problem people have when learning to kick seems to be that they try to do it from a standing position like in edgeless panel no.1 here...throws them off balance...you need a wider grounding...(nods)...that's my martial nerd coming out, i'll shaddup now before it's too late.

Heh, respect to the martial arts nerd I totally get what you're saying here; her stance is actually quite wrong for kicking like that. If I ever redraw this comic I'll get the technical details like that more accurate since I'm always doing stuff like it myself (going on what little training I actually have and my overall knowledge of the movements and stances).

I think it's good, I like your designs, and the lineart is proffessional. The lack of background is a little distracting to me I think even flat shades would help it look more complete... The story is good, too.

Yeah, I know this needs backgrounds, I just got really lazy. Next time I'll draw the backgrounds in so even if I don't put shades in it's still there. Backgrounds are important

omg thats so cute @w@... what a kawaii lil short comic! At first I started reading it manga style, then realised it didn't make sense... ... but then I thought "hmm try the normal way" and hey presto... but yeh... o.o; are those screentones or just greyscale? either way it looks uber awesome!! ^.^

Thanks very much I did consider doing it the japanese way, but it was just easier for me to make (and for others to read) this way. My mum still can't graps the concept of reading the other way
Those are greyscale tones btw, I don't have any real screentones...yet
