This idea just poped into my head when I decided to draw something (usually I sit for ages thinking of something to draw). Felicia and Tabby aren't related to each other, but they develop a mother-child type relationship with each other. I just felt like drawing them together like this. Maybe I could have done this a bit better, it didn't turn out quite how I wanted, but I'm still pleased with the result
Drawn and coloured using Painter Classic. Minor touch-ups in Paint Shop Pro 7.

Well I've changed her backstory slightly - Felicia's father is deceased but her mother is alive and well.
It's the other way around with Tabby though, so Felicia plays into the mother-like role.

In "WS - The Sandwich" they seemed more like big-sister/little-sister than mother/daughter though, but this is still cute.
Tabby looks like she cried herself to sleep in Felica's arms, do you have a back-story to go with this particular image?

I haven't with this one in particular, but it does show a stage in the development of their relationship to each other. They're actually not related at all, but circumstances have landed them with each other and things progressed from there.
I guess if I were to put a timescale to it, The Sandwich is a much earlier period of them knowing each other where Tabby is seen by Felicia to be more of a nuisance than anything (seeming kinda like sisters), and this one is a much later stage where they develop a much deeper emotional connection to each other (like a mother and daughter).
I hadn't actually drawn this with any particular scene in mind, but I do like the idea that Tabby had probably been crying since it seems to fit nicely and further shows that bond between them

What made me think of that was the fact that Felica looked melancholy and Tabby's eyes looked swollen like a person's do after they have been crying.

This is so sweet. It's like one of those priceless moments you have with someone and it feels like time has just slowed down. Well....that's what I think at least.
