Sometimes I get into a "pretty ladies" kick where I just want to draw pretty hair and pretty clothes and so on and so forth. I seem to be in one of those at the moment.So! Here is Asami. I've wanted to draw her for a while... I'm glad I finally got the motivation to do so. Yeys!

Did you watch last season? Are you gonna watch Book 3 which airs on Friday? Asami looks lovely here, and it looks like she'll get a bit more focus in this upcoming book, too!

I watched most of the last season, but then I got kind of frustrated with some of it and ended up missing a couple episodes. I haven't watched anything thus far because I wanted to see what the general reaction was - what do you think of it so far? Anyway, I'm really glad that you like the picture, and I definitely hope she's getting some better attention in the new season, too.

What I saw of the first three episodes was FANTASTIC! It's got the old magic back: I think the dialogue picked up a lot, the jokes hit their marks for the most part, and there have been some really interesting new characters introduced. I don't want to spoil anything, but we also get to see a familiar face from TLA. Korra and Asami also have excellent on-screen chemistry and work off of each other really well.
Did you at least get to see Beginnings 1 and 2 (the episodes with Avatar Wan)?Β

The general vibe I'm getting is that it's been pretty good, so I think I'll have to check it out! Hehe but since I HAVE seen enough to get the general feeling of the fandom, I think I can probably guess whose face you are referring to.
I did get to see those episodes, and they were amaaaaazing. It kind of made me bummed about a lot of the other stuff... it was almost more frustrating to see what great stuff they could still make but then be dropping the ball on so many other elements. *sigh* But I'm glad it seems they may be back in the swing of things this season. I think it's the last, right...? It'd be nice if they could end on a high point.

I actually don't know, I've herd that they've been renewed for like another 26 episodes or something, but I have no idea if that is true or not. I don't think it was (entirely) their fault for dropping the ball, though. Nick has been screwing with this show from the beginning. They don't re-air the episodes, they don't put them up online after the fact as they have in the past, and they kept changing the time-slot last season. It's like the network forced the creators to deliver a half-baked product before they were ready, but now that they apparently have space and time, it's back up to par with the original series. And the newer episodes just keep getting better and better, with more locations and great characters and fascinating backstories.

Hurray! I wanted to try drawing a different outfit for her, but it was kind of hard to think of how to make it a bit more 1920s-ish. I'm glad I was able to pull everything together eventually. I'm glad you like it!

I'm glad you like it! It's taken me a looooong time to get to this point with my art... it's too bad that there isn't a quicker or easier way, but the 'practice makes perfect' saying really is the best advice. If you aren't happy with where you are with your art now, I'm sure that if you keep practicing someday you will be.
