Description Reproduction (with a personal twist) I made of the wedding dress that Claire Beauchamp / Fraser wore in Season 1 of Outlander. I loved how she appeared in that doorway in her big gown. ♥ The original designer is Terry Dresbach

The dress is made of white batist with meters and meters of grey linen. The bodice is hand embroidered with embroidery silk and metallic thread. I tried to reproduce the size and the shape of the acorns and leafs as best as I could. Can you tell it took me months to create?

The pleats of the skirt part (the dress is one piece though) are cartridge pleats, done by hand of course. The white batist has silver falling leaves on it, all the way to the bottom where they pile up on the hem. It really looks like they are randomly falling down!

Model + seamstress: Rachèl de Kooker from Atelier Chimaera (that is me!)
