Description
This lamp was all my design based on the lines of the earth in Nicaragua, a land known for lava, volcanoes, and earthquakes. The cliffs along the coast (The ring of fire) are undulating in their layers, which inspired this design. The lines of color wrap around the lamp, all connecting, and are of transparent and opaque and translucent glasses in the red to yellow range. The lamp includes jewels at the top and bottom, and has a copper patina on the lead lines. It sits on a brass base, and is for sale on [link] for $800. This lamp took 5 years in the making, mostly because all the glass used was incredibly brittle and because I changed the design so much. Many other works took precedence, but this one finally got finished the other day, and I am very happy with it. It now graces my coffee table until it can grace someone else's!
