Description
3 days of snipping, cutting, taping and scrawling lines, and the tunic mockup is ready to start sewing in fabric today!There is an inner tunic (which extends to the knees) and the outer doublet, which has the masayaf logo on it. Haven't decided if i'll be attaching the skirts to it like the ac2 gear, or connecting them to a separate belt. May go for the latter, so i could strip or interchange layers!
This mockup is done in some kind of foam that a friend of mine can get from work (they usually just toss the stuff out. Its not as strong or dense as the craft foam you find at craft stores but it works well for this project
it holds shapes in comparison to say, muslin or something, and has similar thickness to interfaced fabric its also nice that it holds a decent shape to work additional layers over. I do not give away my patterns/blues, but I *do* post Wips & construction notes! You can find them here

of course! But I don't know if I'll be able to git er done nice & pretty for Otakon, so I'll probably bodge one together by modding my AC2 blade to include the hook.

Meh that's what it looks like, and plus it is on the same arm that got the broken blade in the E3
trailer. and earlier in the same trailer it looks like he did not have it before that Templar broke it.
so "bodge-ing" it is how it will pan out in game probably.

Yeah, I drew up the designs for both the masayaf logo and the assassin's logo, but I really like the Masayaf design more, so I'm running with that one. I may do both and make the front panel interchangeable though!

I guess you could die them dark brown if you were using them for ezio, There kinda longish so you could stitch some more similar leather to the end and fold it over to look like the ones from ac2 and acb

I'm doing a hybrid of the ingame outfit and the trailer, picking the elements I like the most. I did the patterns for both but really like the Masayaf design more, so I'm running with that one. I'll be doing the trailer leather shoulder armor as well, because i like the design and the metalwork on those more. the bracer I'm doing from ingame though

And this is a foam? I actually like this mock up method better than using muslin- by chance any idea what this kind of foam is called?
