I don't quite know what to say about this. It is a picture of an industrial apocalyptic sort of scenery.
The smoke produced by the factories and even the family-house is turned into a firey orange, also indicating alarm and death.
Below the girl on the swing in the center, by the roots of a dead tree and next to the deserted, chaotic street, lies a pile of garbage, representing the modern society (car-wheel and trashed monitor) lingering in it's own waste.
The dead tree shares the same colors as the girls clothes. They share the same consequences of the wasteful, industrial present they are sorrounded by: being crippled and then tormented to death.
The girls bandages, also by their color, link to the factories in the back, the garbage and the street in front.
The small house on the left produces the same smog as the factories, so even the small man is to blame for what has befallen this scenery.
The skin and hair color of the girl relates to the smog as well, showing that she is already affected by it's corruptive effect.
