I'm trying to get a hang of how to draw the Nelvaanian people seen in Star Wars' "Clone Wars" Season 2.I just love the concepts and they did a great job on their cultural designs as well. Yay for native American influences ^^
These are mostly sideview studies:
1. Drawn from a screenshot, just to get the mood started.
2. Partially taken from another screenshot, to get the distances between the facial parts right.
3. Eh, ruined that one's face and anatomy, trying out how to connect the head, neck and shoulders.
4. A theoreticall and fictional construction of the skeletal structure... I count at least 5 to 6 cervical vertebrae Oo
(red lines imply flesh and hair)
5. Free hand try. Came out decent in my opinion. I tried to figure out how the length of the neck needed to be to make it seem about right. Stumbled across the musculus frontalis that had some effects on the outlines of the sideview... those might come in handy. ^^

This species so underrated. I really wish they played a bigger role in the Star Wars Cannon. Based on who they are, I'm surprised none of them are force sensitive.Β

You know, itβs always puzzled that, despite this series winning multiple international awards, that the franchise never mentions these people again. Which really bums me out since theyβre my favourite race in Star Wars and I want to learn so much more about them.

xD Yes, I suppose that is true. Still, I consider it an accomplish. You even postulated a skull. o_o I could definitely see myself using these as a reference.
