It would make each day better
And make you smile in return

A hug so tight
You would want to hold on forever
And feel safe
Do you remember?
A feeling so special
You would never be cold
And let the warmth surround you
Do you remember?
A tear so painful
It would hurt you inside
And make you cry as well
Do you remember?
A night so perfect
You would sleep in each other's arms
And be content
Do you remember?
A whisper so soft
You would lay even closer
And listen to only that voice
Do you remember?
All those precious moments
They remind you of something even more important
The strong bond shared between the two of you
Now you can only dream
Of that time you were together
Those memories are worth it all
But still...
Just one smile
To see that face light up
Just one hug
To keep the other here a little longer
Just one feeling
To take that person in a dear embrace one last time
Just one tear
To even see a sad emotion again
Just one night
To know you are still at the right place
Just one whisper
To feel the other near once more
Be silent for a moment
You will realize
Every single memory
Will always stay with you

This poem is amazing. Good Job. though Any other day it wouldn't make me as sad, but then again this poem reminds me of my brother

Tear-jerking piece.
Sharply reminiscent of my twin sister; murdered 1998 along with both my parents.
And though you stirred hellishly painful memories, this kind of poetry is the type that lets me
just.. sit back and breathe, and think about it without having a breakdown.
And for that, I'm grateful.
Adored the repetition in this piece; well done.
Also, the little 'break stanza' between one repetition or another was a good idea too
--- no good launching the audience into the unknown and bombarding them with a new key phrase
without giving them preparation.
And though this is bordering on cliche-tear-jerking-thought-provoking-almost-ish-lyric,
I think it fits perfectly with my mood right now.

Awww.. that's so sweet Eyes-s. It's really engaging... i feel as if im living the persona's life and living her memories. It's so sad, yet its balanced with thoughts of love and affection. they make a great contrast.. and the repetition really emphasises her thoughts and how deeply emotional she feels. . . very well done Eyes-s! I'm not too good at poems so I cant give u any suggestions or tips but in my books u've seriously done a fabulous job!
