FYI: In very early times, people found that diethyl ether could be obtained by adding strong acids to ethanol. The same method is used to produce diethyl ether industrially today. It's an acid-catalyzed Sn2 reaction. The Lemkos people traditionally consume diethyl ether recreationally.

Diethyl Ether is an Ukrainian girl, sometimes simply known as Ether. If her father Ethyl Alcohol walks with tipsy steps, Ether is just worse - it's quite a spectacle to see her walking. She is not much taller than her father.

Her psychoactive power stronger than Alcohol, Ether is a dissociative and anesthetic. She likes clothes with colored patches and geometric shapes, and is able to distort people's vision and hearing to a completely different degree. Sometimes she makes people feel like they are floating or hearing music.

Ether could pass out at any time. She has even stronger alcoholic smell than Alcohol but she doesn't bother to wear perfume. In the past, Ethyl Alcohol sometimes accompanied her so people would drink both of them thanks to Alcohol's sociability.
