Emma's eye make-up was inspired by one of my schoolmates.

The Morphines are named after Morpheus, the Greek god of dreams. Growing up on the fertile land of the Mediterranean, Emma Morphine is a powerful analgesic and narcotic and the big sister of other opiates. She is called Aunt Emma or Miss Emma by people and other molecules and is known for her oval face and curly hair. As the name of her parent plant, Papaver somniferum, infers, she has the ability to relieve people's pain and put them to sleep. She spends much time sleeping herself, or just reclining.

Besides helping people with both acute and chronic pain and saving many lives, one of Emma's legendary achievements was being sent by the European to China and paralyzing half of the country, which eventually led to the Opium Wars. However, Emma never likes conflicts and encourages her siblings to help people. She pities war victims and people with chronic illness, especially cancer, and believes in mercy killing. She often apologizes for Heroin's wrongdoing.
