I COULDN'T HELP IT.Haha XD Me and were talking last night and she's in a pokemon craze with her Black & White right now and she declared her favorite pokemon to be Wailmer , no contest. I thought this was an absolute riot. Just like her to love a giant, grinning whale without a tail. It's such a Tia thing to do. kekeke <3 I thought he was plenty adorable too.
Under inspiration from awesome pokemon-humanoid designs, here's my gijinka/gijinki (which one is it?) Wailmer for yah pal! Man, it was fun to design this little sucker.
I'M ALREADY HOOKED. THIS IS SO MUCH FUN.

Very cute! I for one wouldn't mind seeing more of these from you, your art style fits it very nicely.
And yes, "gijinka" is the correct term for this. (it's a Japanese word meaning "humanoid", "personification", or "anthropomorphic", from what I know.) Of course, the word has taken on a bit of a unique meaning outside of Japan, such as with PokΓ©mon gijinka (which often aren't technically anthropomorphic, but appearing to wear cosplay).

I see a bunch of gijinki around as well, but there's absolutely no info on what it is; it's very possible that it's simply a common misspell, since "gijinki" doesn't appear to show up in any dictionaries and Google repeatedly asks me if I meant "gijinka". The few times I see it being used, it's just replacing gijinka, so I don't believe it's a plural (you do see "gijinkas" every so often), but it's possible that it was intended as a plural.
