Description I went to help a friend excavate some land so he can start building a house. During the day we came acrross two little baby bunnies. This was the first one we found. These are the rabbits that run free throughout Arizona. We see the grown-ups quite often but it's rare we see the babies. This little guy was so small he could fit in the palm of my hand. Both were very calm, I held on to them for a while and then walked them to a safer spot so we wouldn't hurt them with our big scary human machines.

*EDIT* judging from numerous "cute" comments I have gotten, it has been decided this is the cutest phtograph I have ever taken...Like a couple making out in public it's a fine line between "awww that's so cute" and vomitting this is the photo you hate to love and love to hate, it seems to make the toughest of brutes buckle at the knees and beckon to hold something soft and fuzzy. BEHOLD MY WITTLE RUNNY BABBIT FOR HE IS CUTIFUL GOODNESS!

this is great. would u be interested in selling this as stock photography? We are microstock site who sell images on ur behalf and every time ur image gets downloaded you receive a small royalty 12-15%, if ur not interested no worries its still a fab image - i love the lighting and the composition. so cute

thanks! I hadn't put too much thought into offering my stuff as stock but keep telling myself to look into it it. I have to look into it a bit more before I make any decisions...so right now I'd say it's a hold.

aw... not only is it too cute, but the dof is great, and being set in the environment is unique for baby bunny shots. plus i LOVE the title - it just seems so perfect

I'm all about titles so I'm glad you noticed it. I usually name my photos by the first thing that pops into my head when looking at them so titles mean a lot thanks

i know what you mean - i used to be pretty bad about titles, but now i try hard to come up with something at least sort of interesting - so i definitely appreciate other people who come up with good titles

Baby rabbits are so cute!!

Last summer I was at a theater conference and there was a little black rabbit and a little white rabbit about this size hopping around.

We fed them popcorn!!! They loved it!

I love this photo. You have got so many great elements in here such as the clarity of the shot, how you've incorporated the lighting and the odd but nice perspective! It seems you have used a fish-eyed lens (correct?), and I think it adds a much needed flare to the photograph that makes the bunny seem so much more appealing. I feel like I'm right there only looking at him from the inside of a door! Hehe. Your blurring effects are great too. They make his fur seem like it blends right in with the grass and his little ears blend in with the weeds standing up. Great picture!

wow thanks...you've got like the longest comments ever...and funny thing is you pay attention. This photo was actually taken with a point and shoot camera, this is strait off the camera, no editing or anything. It's rather crazy and one of my all time faves. I was probably 4 inches from the little guy when I took the shot. He was soooooo small.

Oh wow, I would have never guessed that with this kind of shot! Then you must really be talented. It is a rather awesome shot, and I can just see in his eye: he's trying to see inside the lense! I really hope you didn't use flash.

hahaha no I didn't use a flash the poor little thing was so scared. I didn't want to put my scent on him but I had to move him or he was going to get run over by a backhoe

one of my relatives neighbors found a bunny that was that small...its ears where the size of my pinky nail. it climbed up my sleve....

they're all over my neighborhood at night. sometimes when I'm walking around our building and it's dark out they scare me when they run away...not that I didn't scare them more.
