Aaah, this is beautiful. I love the design of his outfit, and this is such a wonderful illustration of the scene. That book is so absolutely magical, and I really think you captured the feeling of it with this painting.

I love how you depicted this scene. The movie version is cute but it doesn't have the same feel.

Yes. It's called the House of Many Ways. The main character is a young girl named Charmain Baker but everyone mistakenly calls her Charming.

this is absolutely perfect. I love the contrast of Calcifer against the blue of the rest of the composition, and how his 'trail' wraps around Howl in contrast to the repetitive streaking of the rest of the stars in the background. I really love the way you draw Howl, its very much how I pictured him when I first read the book with his 'bony face'. thank you for drawing this!
