Recommended song:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpRlgm… (World Champion battle from Pokemon X and Y)

They said Arceus was the strongest Pokemon of all.  Someone in Cerulean Cave didn’t like hearing that, and searched far and wide for ways to take Arceus down.  It found two Mega Stones, which allow it to reach a new level of power, and raise its base stat total to an unstoppable 780!  With these Mega Stones in hand, it not only reclaimed the title of World’s Strongest, but made it even more of a badass than it already was.

Who’s laughing now, Arceus?

So how do you make the world’s most powerful Pokemon even more powerful?  You Mega Evolve it!  Forget cranking its power up to eleven, you’re turning the dial OVER 9000!  After you complete your journey in Kalos, a new dungeon opens up (not really a dungeon; it’s just one room), and you’re given a chance to capture the almighty Mewtwo.  Hope you still have the Master Ball.  And when the smoke clears, you can grab its Mega Stone, and give it to your prized fighter.  Now watch as it lays waste to everything in your path, just like in the days of the first generation!

The Mega Stone you get depends on your version.  The Y version grants Mewtwo a much higher Special Attack score, while the X version gains the Fighting type, and a tremendous boost to its seldom used Attack stat.  Both forms have unique abilities as well (Insomnia, which prevents sleep, and Steadfast, which raises Speed when flinching, respectively).  Both abilities are an improvement over Pressure, which depletes your opponent’s moves faster.  And both are powered by an insanely diverse movepool, allowing you to open up a six pack of whoopass on your enemies.  And in New Hoenn, you get both Mega Stones.  Have fun!

And with these new forms comes a set of brand new weapons.  Mega Mewtwo Y gets a weapon of my own design, and is based on the Million Staff she had earlier.  However, it has been upgraded.  I added three more zeroes, an extra comma, and dubbed it the Billion Staff.  It allows her to cast her spells and spend only half as much magic as before.  It also slowly replenishes her magic, effectively giving her unlimited magic power.  It also raises her magic power by three thousand points, boosting her colossal magic stat all the way up to 3535!  In fact, her magic power is so strong she doesn’t even need to hold her weapon anymore.  She can control it freely with telekinesis, which is why it’s glowing.  I originally wanted her normal form to do this, but I find it better that this form should have that trait, since her magic power is higher now.  Getting whacked by that scepter is the least of your worries though, even if it does drain your magic away.  Spells launched from it with that much power behind it can level entire cities.  Imagine what they’d do to her enemies.

Mega Mewtwo X gets the Levantine Sword (Star Ocean 2, which is also the name of my shiny Honedge I hatched), which carries a massive attack power of 3000!  It’s easily the most powerful weapon I’ve seen in video games.  If that wasn’t enough, its power grows stronger as she gets weaker!  If you think you’ve got her backed into a corner at critical health, you are dead wrong.  The force of a fully powered up Levantine Sword can break through your shield, shatter your armor into a thousand pieces, throw you across the room, and through three walls.  If you’re still alive after all this, you soon won’t be.   The game it comes from doesn’t have a good image of the sword, so I used two different swords from Final Fantasy 12 for inspiration.

Her weapon, eye, and jewelry color reference the Gen VI games where Mewtwo's corresponding Mega Stones are found, with red referencing the Y version, and blue for the X version.  Her outfit was inspired by Super Sailor Moon.

These were made to celebrate the announcement of Mewtwo’s inclusion in the new Smash Bros. game as a playable character later this year.  Better late than never, right?

Sailor Mewtwo retains her previous moves, but depending on which Mega form she takes, she gains an additional one:

Y version:  Magic Burst (Sailor Mewtwo focuses all her remaining magic power into her staff and lets loose an atomic explosion from it.  The amount of damage it does depends on how much magic power she had when the spell goes off, and how angry she is.  This attack is non-elemental, can strike any opponent, and bypasses abilities)

X version:  Phoenix Strike (Sailor Mewtwo puts all her remaining energy into her sword and strikes her opponent.  The attack is non-elemental, cannot be evaded, and also bypasses abilities.  After it does damage, all of her health gets replenished)
